Really enjoyed this resort. We stayed in the front paved area but tge back gravel and tree area is nice. We didn't use any amenities but we enjoyed the ride in almost every direction. Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and up towards Sturgis. Walmart not too far with a few restaurants around. Would definitely return.

I need to update this review section. This is our second time staying here. This place is great. Lots of grass for the dog pool is warm with a hot whirlpool. Putt-Putt horseshoes a really nice place. Cabins look updated we will stay here again if we come back through going to or from Canada

Stayed Here Many Times
Being a Coast to Coast member we take advantage of this park every time we're in the Black Hills. Always find the staff friendly and helpful in every way. We've stayed in the rear older part of the park and up front in the newer section. Rear spots are gravel closer together but have trees. Newer section is closer to the main road, but no road noise in our 5th wheel. Lots of things to do for the kids. Nice fenced in large dog run area. Very nice cabin that our daughter, sun in-law and grandson stayed in for a week. Will we come back, Lord willing many times! We stayed the full week after 4th of July weekend.

Shadows from? Not trees.
This campground is very nice from the standpoint it is clean. Bathrooms, laundry very clean. The office staff was very nice. They let us pick our site. Downside is: they push you to watch a presentation to become a member. If you are not a member price jumps $$$$$$. Our most expensive campground yet. Sights are mostly sun to all sun. Was very disappointed when we drove in. You would think there would be more trees being in the Black Hills half way between Rapid City and Mount Rushmore. 7/12/19 A tent camper reported seeing a mountain lion with a cub last night by his family’s tent. This membership stuff takes all the fun out of camping. Membership campgrounds should be private members only and not Good Sam Campgrounds. Just my view.

Spent 3 nights. Decided to leave a day early. Great spot if you are a member. As a non-member, we were allocated to a very small gravel site that was not level. Grass needed mowed. Our picnic table was located next to our neighbors sewer connection. Member sites were large, level with concrete pad and grass. We won’t be back.

At first we were skeptical, after staying for four days in and around the area we became members. Love this place and it's packages offered. Great prices even if you aren't able to get the package, but anyway. We had a medical emergency while out on the road, my sister had to come back she was so scared. I emailed members service and they helped out tremendously. After emergency surgery and a week in the hospital I am back in my trailer. We will be parked for the duration of my recovery (which is going to be a little longer than expected). They are helping us out every day. From helping my sister to back in, hookup and even stopping by to see how we are holding up and if there is anything that we need. I will tell you that means so much to us. I am personally pleased that we decided to become members for life and my children's lifetime also. Thanks so much for being there when we really needed someone to care.

Great Weekend
My family loved it here. Came through with two dogs and two kids 4&2. Park was very quiet despite being Memorial Day weekend. Kids loved the pool and mini golf. WiFi is poor, but don’t forget you’re camping. Just walk to where it’s better and do your thing. Includes free mini golf. Kids spent a lot of time at the pool. It’s small but no big deal. We will stay here again.

Two separate areas at this park. Up front huge big rig spaces but no shade just cement. Also road noise. But if you get a space farther to the back there is shade and gravel and it's quiet. It is also roomy enough. We had a 40 foot toy hauler with too for our dually. Nice pool. Some walking paths. All in all a very nice stay.

Disappointed
Clean showers, great neighbors...not a tree in sight. Pool dirty, lots of debris in the water. They don't recycle...in this day and age? No cable!! Service from town (antenna) not good. Wifi is TERRIBLE!!! (They've not heard of boosters) Good campground that could be so much better. Stay further into the Black Hills - and don't fall for the 90 minute presentation trap!!!! On top of this? $$$$$

This is a parking lot! Save your money and stay at the walmart 10 minutes down the road and still be under 30 minutes to Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse and lots of tourist friendly sites..like Bear USA and reptile world which are pricey but fun.

Traveller
Needed a place close to jewel cave, wind cave and mount rushmore. This did the trick. Sites were very cramped, but people were nice and facilities were clean. Most expensive site on our trip at $62 per night. No cable.

Great Place
We were there in late June 2015, in a 38' Motorhome. Huge paved pads with grass. Only complaint was the hookups were at the back of the site requiring a long sewer hose. We are Coast to coast and only paid$10 a night. Rack rate is about$65. If you listen to a sales pitch you can get 3nights for$39. Nice office personnel, let us pick our site. Would stay there again.
