For us it was a one night stay. People were very friendly and helpful. The spots are long, cemented and flat. Lots of places to walk doggy’s. You get a picnic table with your spot. For $30 it was more then a great deal. Make sure if you are a big fifth wheel or bus take the commercial entrance. Next time we plan to stay a couple of extra days to explore. There is also a museum on base with lots of planes out front.

All staff of this RV Park have been wonderful. Fellow RV'ers are friendly and social. We have met some very nice people here. RV Park, the grounds & RV sites are spotless, facilities are very well maintained and taken care of, plenty of space between sites. I will be back.

Ask For What You Need
We called to see if they have room for tonight and were told they do. They assigned a FHU pull through site. FHU would be great if we were staying a month. We didn't ask, and they'd didn't offer. We were staying 2 nights. There are W&E sites that were cheaper - ($20?). And there are "overflow" sites that have electricity only for $15. We could have gotten by with our on board water and waste tanks, while plugged into their electric to run the A/C for 2 days, then use their dump station upon leaving ... for half the price we paid. ASK for the amenities you need! Free laundry facilities...but NO PLACE TO PARK. If you are in the pull-thru sites it's a pretty good hike, carrying a full laundry basket. Pretty nice bathrooms & showers, in the same building, but, again no parking. Probably nobody uses them anyway since there are almost no tenters here.

LOVED OUR STAY
Spent a month at the FamCamp and absolutely loved our extended stay. Though the base is about 20 minutes from shopping, downtown and most conveniences in the Rapid City area, we enjoyed being away from the tourist areas. Our only "problem" was that the flying bugs were so bad that we couldn't enjoy sitting outside...apparently due to an unusually wetter Spring. Nevertheless, we'll enjoy using the FamCamp facility when we return to South Dakota again.

Nice Famcamp if arriving between 6&6 use liberty gate I90 exit 67 once you enter base, it will be on the right. Make sure you understand the base map to find the front gate if you leave before 0600!
I only spent a couple of hours so I only used electrical hook up but saw the water and waste and the bathhouse with the laundry. Wi-Fi worked great. I will use the facility again.

So nice! It's bigger and better than ever! Concrete pads, laundry; so convenient! The Wi-Fi is a little sketchy, but it's all good.
