So So Park
We spent five days and nights there to get outta the Texas heat. It was a nice park but we were parked near Barrett Rd and the rockhaulers started running every five minutes at 6:30am. All day long back and forth from the nearby gravel quarry. Other than that it was great. Additionally my wife said the laundry room was awesome. LOL 🤣
Also, watch for the big pothole in Barrett Rd just east of the entrance to the park. Speaking from experience it will take a tire out.

Great park in between Colorado Springs and Pueblo, great wifi and big sites. About 20 miles to either city and shopping or restaurants. You will not be disappointed by this great park.

Good clean park. Clean facilities and electric and water worked well. Lots of noise in the day time from the nearby quarry. Also some nights there were a lot of banging that shook the RV from fort Carson. Mortar shells from night maneuvers. Also a lot of people had dogs that constantly barked yet no one seemed to put a stop to it.

What a beautiful campground & friendly staff! Stayed 2 nights under the ponderosa pines. Great laundry facility…clean! Seasonal campers at the back of the park. Close to Colorado Springs about 20 mins. Lots were spacious, however our lot was not level, but not too bad. All hookups worked properly. Dirt roads. Nice landscaping between lots. Off the main road, but a mining operation is further up the road & big trucks can be heard on the road. Did not disturb us at night & park was quiet at night. Would definitely stay again!

Awesome Place
Stayed 3 nights and it is a great park to stay. Great location, easy drive to Cañon City and to Colorado Springs. Will definitely come back here for a longer stay. Didn’t use the facilities but the hosts were all great. Doesn’t look like there is a bad site in the campground.

Vacation In The Rockies
We stayed here for a week and it was a great choice. The site was generously sized for our 30 foot travel trailer, lots of shade from the pine trees, clean bathrooms, and a clean laundry room. The staff was wonderful, helpful, and friendly.
We saw deer every night and woke up to cool mornings. It was great as a base camp between Colorado Springs to the north and Royal Gorge, etc to the south. We would highly recommend Play Dirty ATV and Academy Riding Stables.

Instant Favorite
We booked last minute after our trip to Disney was cancelled. WHAT A FIND! Sites are meticulously maintained. Lots of space between sites! The deer came in to camp every night to eat and made for great entertainment. Very peaceful.
There is a rock quarry beyond the campground so the truck traffic was somewhat heavy, but I’ve stayed in campgrounds that were worse with noise.
I wish we lived closer so we could stay here more often.

If you are looking for a very laid-back quiet place this is it. Stayed in lot 2640 foot motorhome towing plenty of room sites are beautiful and the wildlife do come through the park management was very friendly and accommodating. We were only going to stay one night but decided to stay a second night on passport America price
The only reason for the four stars instead of five was the truck traffic is a little heavy but not terrible

Family Visit
Beautiful setting! Could not ask for a better group of people checking us in. I lost my extra keys for my tow and they jumped right up and had it unlocked in no time. After arriving I booked us for a 5th night. I can’t say enough nice things about this place and rates!!!! Definitely will be back.

Loved This Place
We stayed 5 nights in late April 2019. The campground is beautiful... Well kept and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Deer wandered right past out site. Only reason for a 4 star rather than 5 was bathrooms are older... Clean and well maintained but older.

Pricey And Scheduling Not Managed Well
The park was beautiful and deer everywhere. Watch out getting on the road for all of the quarry truck traffic.
We stayed for 8 days and paid around $650, which wound up breaking down to about $80 per day. Apparently the people that take reservations are learning to schedule because if you stay for any more than a couple of days, you are going to have to move spots. The first spot we were in was huge and gorgeous, but they moved us to a cramped space after the second day where my neighbor's sewer hose connected right next to my door step. There was no price adjustment for the vast difference in the sites either.
The owner is very particular about drippy hoses too. I was approached and given a lesson on the best hoses to use as mine was dripping one drop every 10 minutes.

AWESOME! We Will Be Back!!
This place was great!! HUGE sites with full hook-ups, table, firepit, some with gardens, rock tiered dividers between sites and most with pull thrus of various sizes. The back half is full-timers, many with beautiful gardens around their sites. Some sites have cable. . Except for #37 (our 1st site) and a coyple of others. Fulltimers have to have satelite. A HUGE lounge area with a big screen TV, several round tables/chairs, 2 rock fireplaces, books/games, a kitchen and a bar area. 4 individual bathrooms, each with a shower, toilet & sink that is accessed from the outside of the laundry room . . Which is HUGE and really cool. The laundry room has a large folding table, iron/board & TV. A large dog run, play ground with volleyball court and an outdoor hot tub (no pool tho). Staff is very friendly & helpful . . .leading you to your site & will help set up if needed.
Would give 5 stars but nobody is perfect . . . This is pretty close. We WILL be back!!!

We enjoyed staying at Mountaindale Campground. Everyone is friendly and they do lots of activities for everyone. I highly recommend this Campground. It's out of town south on Hwy 1about 15 miles but it's a gorgeous campground and worth the drive.
