Had a peaceful stay for 3 nights; the guests were quiet and so were the ducks! It is a nice place to walk dogs and has plenty of dog-waste bags available. The gravel site was level and shaded. Best price in the area.

STAY AWAY
Booked in April for 4 nights in July. Booked based on reviews. Big mistake. How anyone could give this place a 5 star rating is beyond me. Rutted gravel/muddy roads led to gravel/mushy sites that held standing water for hours after a rain shower. Few amenities. We left after 2 nights. Staff was cordial and gave us a full refund for the remaining 2 nights.

Booked 2nd Stay When We Visited
Visited in March 2020 and because we have a truck camper we got a sweet site by the pond and made several duck, turtle and fish friends. Staff is very friendly and helpful and other guests were friendly and considerate. Yes, it's close to train tracks but we barely heard them inside, even with windows open. We enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again before the end of the year.

Loved Our Stay Here!!
Love this campground and would absolutely return here if in the area. Wasnt too crowded while we were here. Plenty of space on the site for us. Pool was nice and well kept, as was the laundry area and restrooms. Playground and recreation area was great. I had forgotten our laundry detergent and tried buying some from the machine, but it got stuck. I called the office and they sent someone out immediately. All the staff I encountered was extremely friendly and accommodating.

Campers
We ALWAYS stay a Lake Aire…. It’s extremely close to Charleston and you don’t have to drive Thur town to get to it. The folks who run this park are Christian and run this park very professionally. I’ve never had to complain about any service or other camper here. It has a small catch and release pond that is nice to sit by. The pool is very nice and the bathhouse and laundry facilities are updated. They have some full timers but they are in a different section. Place is kept immaculate. It’s also the cheapest cg in the area. You want all the bells and whistles you might want to spend more money and go elsewhere. This is probably the quietest park we’ve stayed in. The name of the town can be confusing because it’s called HollywoodSC, but it’s actually in Charleston. Can’t wait for our next trip. This place gets my ***** stars. Can’t see why anyone would call it pricey when it’s the cheapest of all parks in the area.$$

A bit pricy. Lots of campers but it was peaceful and quite. We are birders and it was actually good birding here.

Good Reasonable Stop
We stayed here 8 nights to tour Charleston area. A 25-30 minute drive to downtown Charleston. Couple of great places to eat within 5 minutes. Angel Oak Restaurant and Gilligans are super for seafood. Yifi is acceptable. Laundry cost was $3.50 per load which is high compared to other parks we have stayed. My only complaint is they need to maintain their roads a lot better. Large holes holding water. Would not take much work to add gravel and regrade. We would stay here again.

We live close to Lake Aire Campground and our neighborhood doesn't support Motorhomes parked in yards so we looked around and discovered Lake Aire Campground to keep our camper. These are some of the nicest folks I've ever dealt with, the storage rate is reasonable, it's easy to get in and out of and my wife and I feel very safe having our camper there. The real bonus for us besides being close is the caretaker's residence is right where the campers are kept and they look out for them.

Stayed Here A Few Times
Great park in Charleston. Grass and gravel sites. Small pool. Small pond but a nice stay just outside of Charleston. It's tucked back off the road and quiet ... Does have some full timers but we've never experienced had an issue.

Nice Campground
We live close by and decided to do a staycation. Very nice grounds. Those complaining that “Charleston is too far”... to get into “Charleston” it’s maybe 10 minutes. Yes downtown is a little bit farther and yes, if traveling during rush hour there will be traffic. But where is there not any traffic??? Some people always have to complain about something. There were some puddles but, then again, it rains here ALOT!! I loved that it’s a little bit more secluded from the hustle and bustle of Charleston. The ponds are nice! Everyone near us was friendly. Felt very safe. My only complaint is that they probably could have cut the grass— but then again we went from drought to terrential rain and I’m sure they didn’t have time to cut it/let it dry out some. We will definitely be back!

Very expensive rv park sites were close but not on top of one another. Park was very wet but with the weather this year not a problem. Quiet park with a helpful and friendly staff. The laundry and bath house were clean. Little to no internet.

Pretty Park With A Few Issues
Scenic, with the lake and all. Friendly staff. Nice looking pool (didn’t use), level gravel sites, and: Ducks with duckings! ‘Course, the ducks like all the standing water; there was a 6’ puddle with our electric and water in the middle, and many puddles everywhere, making walking anything but carefree. The showers have (IMO) inadequate privacy, lacking a changing area.

Close to downtown Charleston
This is a great campground, the staff is friendly and the location is convenient to downtown Charleston, James Island, and Folly Beach. It is pet friendly, and offers good sam; and passport America discounts. The sites are gravel and the majority are pull-through. The laundry facility and pool are well maintained.

Decent Stay
Nice facilities and the sites are gravel and level. If it rains hard it may get mushy but I really didnt notice it on our site, just remember this is Lowcountry SC.

Lake View Back-in
We just had a couple nights at this campground and it was nice for the price compared to other places around. A little far from Charleston but we have a toad that takes us places so not an issue for us. I will say their pricing with PA should be more clear in the app but other than that this was a good stay. No rain so no problem with the mud for us, but I can tell it could get muddy in certain spots. A lot of fulltimers but we felt safe.

Stayed there a couple times. Last time it rained and site turned to mud. Almost couldn't get out of the place. Never will stay again.

November Camping
Lake Aire Park is a very clan and quiet park. The spaces need some fresh gravel as most of them are wet and muddy. Also they need to do a better job at maintaining their washer and dryers. Only one set working. As someone else commented, lots of stagnant water. Even in November the mosquitos were bad.

Not Favorite
Would not got back. Problems could have been due to our visit falling shortly after hurricane. It was too far out of town to sightsee easily with heavy traffic. We didn't want to venture far from camper. Lots of stagnate water, so mosquitoes were awful.
