Location Is Everything
Why would anyone build a campground in a city port? This place is like an afterthought. "Hmmm, what can we put in this little slice of land so it's not wasted? I know - let's put in some paved slabs, some utilities, and we'll call it an RV park! They can see bridges, interstate traffic, boats pushing barges, cranes, tall buildings, construction equipment, fencing, and orange cones."
It's okay for a one-nighter or last resort.

It was nice! Got a little spot for the kids to kayak on the lake! The bathhouse was very clean. The roadways were great! Ton of fishing spots! Just be prepared because of no sewer hook up, no biggie, just have to manage your water! Great weekend, we thought!

A hidden treasure near the city of Jackson nicely wooded private pretty little campsites but close to restaurants and shopping if you wanted. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly! We had some mechanical issues on Labor Day weekend staff were able to direct us to a great mechanic who helped us out. They were able to give us an extra day that we needed in order to get parts.

Nice But Needs Some TLC
The road to the entrance was rough with pot holes. A little bit of a drive to the camper spot. One central sewer dump station. The women’s shower had a steady water drip (I really dislike wasted water). The hiking trail that would take you to the science museum had two flooded spots (was able to wade thru the first one, but the second one was too deep and wide). Other areas had bridges but no water under them. Nice distance between sites. Picnic table at site was broken and many do not have grills. In spite of these things, we would stay again.

Pretty Nice Park And Great Location
This state park campground has a great location where you can visit many tourist attractions with just a short drive. The campground itself was decent. Great space between sites and small concrete slab for trailer. The bathhouse was average. Great proximity to the lake for fishing.

Handicapped Rating / 2 star.
Pretty little Park located Within Reach of all things Urban. Sites are short and sloped, our 30 ft rig barely fit. Rain and a.c. drip puddled at doorway. Plenty of space between sites, so easy to feel all alone next to tranquil lake with fish jumping. Restroom facilities are located on the second floor of the two-story building. Handicap baths are difficult to reach and poor shower facilities in the men's side.

The small park is right off the interstate in the middle of town. Limestone everywhere. The bathhouse is the best thing about the park.
We were there on a July 4th wkend, a church had dinner on the grounds.
We cut our radio off just to hear their good ole time country gospel music!

No pets allowed (so we couldn't even use park while traveling). Apparently rules changed and website not updated.
