NOT THE FRIENDLIEST PARK
It's a good location with nice views & convenience to the town. The trade off is the lack of hospitality at check in & apparently it wasn't just our impression or experience. Several of our fellow RV park neighbors stated the same issues with the staff. We had a fairly level PT with FHU's with some shade. It was acceptable for a few days to explore the area but I wouldn't stay longer than a week.

Stays Full Most Of The Spring And Summer
I Tend to be a bit rough on ratings, but I have stayed here multiple times. It’s a large campground. 300 plus sites. So as you can image, lots of moving parts. Sites are tight, as are most campgrounds nowadays. They have full hookups. Location is great, able to walk to everything in Grand Marais. Great water views from some sites. They to have a local resident side. Bathhouses are older but clean. Several pavilions, no WiFi at any site. Not offered. One of the very few campgrounds with amenities in the area. I give it a solid B rating.

Great Location
We love visiting Grand Marais and this is a nice option if you want to camp. It’s nice being so near the lake, and the walking distance to town is very short. I was surprised how large this campsite is. They do pack them in a little tight. It was a little tough getting our 25’ camper to fit. A tree prevented us from getting our owning out. There were some nicer spots but you need to plan well in advance. People told us you call in January and you may be on hold for a while.

Too Tight
Great location with walking distance to the town. This is an older campground owned by the city which has not grown or been updated to today's RV's. We have a fifth wheel and it was somewhat difficult to navigate into spot. Most sites are back in with vehicles parked sideways along roads. Trees need to be trimmed up more. No WIFI unless you go to office. Roads need work. Lots of potholes and dips so be careful walking at night. It is a much better place to camp with a pop up than RV. Place gets crowded due to location and not much else up there. Agree 10 mph speed not obeyed.

Great Location But Needs Work
The campground is in a great location. Close to downtown and the water. Very little maintenance and sites are not level and not well kept. Park has so much potential to be great. The 10 mph speed limit needs to be posted more since people are flying through the park, so keep an eye on the kids.

Convenient to the town. Short RV’s (ours is 25 ft) get the sites that are NOT level, low branches and poorly marked. City administrators need to improve the sites! Stayed two nights.

Packed In!
This campground could be awesome if it were cleaned up, organized, and updated. It’s close to everything in the city but needs an overhaul. Prices are a bit hi. 32 to 45. Watch those fees for reservations and over charging. Great view of the lake. I don’t know where those pics were taken but that’s not accurate.

Park owned by the city, a dumpy mess. Could be a beautiful area if they had the seasonal residents clean up their garbage.

Friendly staff, large bathrooms/ok showers, poor Wi-Fi, sites too close together, nice location, beautiful views, close enough to walk into town.

Located north edge of town, nice camp sites many with a view of lake, short drive to Duluth. Two Harbors has lots of gift shops ,many more shops on 61 driving north, BETTY'S pies Is a must stop. Lots to see and do all the way to Canadien border. Showers and rest rooms could be updated, staff was very nice, firewood was actual firewood, not scraps from a local sawmill like many places sell.
