Nice Campground
Maryland has a Golden Age pass that will save you 50% at State campgrounds. Problem is you have to apply for it ahead and wait for it to be sent to your home. Electricity only. Nice space between campers. Well kept campground.

Great Weekend
We booked Ash 16 for Friday/ Saturday. For $60 for the weekend, it was a great experience. ONLY electric hook up but the bathroom was well maintained. Great beach, lake loop trail, play area for the kids. Definitely will return.

State Park with Casino
You can enjoy a 2 mile one way forested walk from your campsite to the Rocky Gap casino or better yet, paddle a rented canoe down. Bathroom/showers we're nicely maintained. Swim area even had an accessability Matt Dog beach included too

Wonderful Place To Camp
We've camped many places and keep coming back here. The sites are spacious and nicely spread out so you are not on top of your neighbors. Campsites are level and well maintained with lantern post, picnic table, fire ring/ grill, and small prep table. There are many trails for hikers and bikers and a beach area. My complaints would be that the beach area does not work well for picnicking. There are several picnic tables, but not many of them and no grills at all. I would like to see more tables with a grill at most. Snack bar is only open on weekends. There is a little traffic noise from the interstate but not overly obtrusive. The casino and several restaurants are close by. Being that the lake does not permit gasoline motors, it makes for a nice place to fish and kayak without the noise and commotion brought on by large gas powered boats.

Very Pleased
This was our first stay in the Rocky Gap campground. The grounds were well maintained and the bathhouses clean. The kids enjoyed the playground and the beach area. Each site in our loop was well wooded and private. We had water directly across from our site which was very convenient. Our stay was absolutely wonderful and we will certainly be returning next year.
