A Louisiana Beauty
This is a huge park, over 5000 acres. I love the woods and our campsite #33 was spacious and level. We had water and electricity. There is a lake but it cannot be viewed by the campsites. The lake is swampy but beautiful. The rest rooms were clean. This park has beautiful cabins as well. We road our bikes on the paved roads, miles and miles of roads. There are many scenic hiking trails throughout the park. There is a lovely nature center as well. Please note, stay on Hwy 49 as long as you can. Some of the loads leading to the park are in bad shape.

Chicot State Park
Very nice well kept park. Has splash pad and kids walking trails. Fishing pier, nice restrooms and TV sights. Close to historic town of Washington La . Lots of antique shops and historic school antique mall. Nice cabins and pavilions.

We enjoyed our stay. Site 10 is a good spot right next to bath house. The bath house was old but very clean. This site is not in the party area so it was nice and quiet.

Nice Campground, Roads And Need A Work
Beautiful quiet campground with great trails. Don't bother fishing without a boat. We stayed in site 58. 50 amp and good water pressure. Roomy, level site with forest behind it. Only complaint is that the roads throughout the campground are narrow and bumpy, and sites are minimally angled and have deep drop-offs, making it a challenge to get in and out. I wouldn't attempt it with a large rig.

Warm Weather
Great campground! Huge spacious campground. Friendly and helpful staff. Rolling hills of hardwoods, fishing docks, rental boats and canoes. 5 star camp for me!
