One of the Best Campgrounds Around

I stayed here a week during Labor Day 2025. Huge, ginourmous campground spaces. I mean like back yard big camp spaces. The place was quiet and serene! There is a playground for the kids and big lake that runs into the Atchafalya River I think. So plenty of fishing. Just be careful about the alligators. Not all sites come with sewage so you have to ask at the office to make sure. The campground is a bit out of the way which was perfect for me and at 1 point I was the only resident, minus the full time park hands that live there.

Nice campground. The campground is well kept but not the restrooms or cabins. They are in dire need of rebuilding. Friendly staff. We had a dune buggy running around the campground on Sunday night. They called the Sheriff and we didn't have anymore problems during our stay. About half the sites have sewer plus water and 50/30amp electric. Under new management and I think the $27 with discounts was a little steep. We would stay there again. Nice lake with nice fish too!
