Park Is Open Again

We was there Monday 7/22 park has open back up again for camping

Campground CLOSED

You might was to check with park about campground. It has been closed for months and is not expected to open for some time. I am writing this on March 20, 2019. Otherwise it is a great campground and park right in our backyard.

Okay Place To Stop Over

Wasn't super impressed with the park. Parking was kind of tight to get out pull behind in but once in was okay. Not a big campground but we only stayed to be near the casino which is still a bit of a drive from here. Bathrooms are okay and not much hiking working the camp area. We didn't go farther in to the park itself so can't comment on that. It serves it purpose for us. Would not make a weekend trip to just camp here personally. Was maintained well enough.

Nice campground. Easy hookup. Great area to explore. Museum and visitor center are excellent. Trails are somewhat challenging but great for birdwatching. Reasonable rates. Would definitely go back.

Did a one nighter at this park, very clean easy hook up no issue. Was early in the season so not very busy. Lake was nice and trails were good. Some of the spots were a bit undeveloped but for the most part very nice area.
