Happy Rver

This is a great rest stop! It is in between the east and westbound lanes so be ready to exit on the left. You can't see the other side since the west is along the bottom of the hill and the east is on the other side of the hill. So you only have the noise from the west bound traffic. Behind the rest area building there is a road and I saw a sign. It was at the entrance of a trail that leads into the woods. It's a nice little trail that zig zags up the hill to a monument erected to the windmill and it's importance in settling this area. You need to be able to walk on crushed gravel and it does go up hill. There are benches along the way.
