Picturesque Location & Layout

Lots of activities for kids as well as adults including Cave tours, fishing pond, playground & hiking trails. Neat & well kept park. Golf cart rentals. Negatives are the active railroad track bordering campground, lots of vehicle & cart traffic w/i the park, & limited wii fi & cellphone service. We did a midweek stay with 8 yr old grandson. A unique experience was had.

Unique But Rough

Not a great value. $40 for full hookup but sites are all grass and roads are gravel with some real soft spots and washouts. No internet, no Verizon phone reception, no one checking on safety after 5:30. Half of the sites are permanent so some traffic in and out at all times. They rent golf carts so lots of noise of people passing by until dark. Many sites are literally right next to active RR tracks and the trains were loud and fast. The swimming hole is very small in a man made area with a lot of pond weed!

Great Campground

This was our first time staying here. The park is well kept and very nice. You have access to a trout stream throughout the park along with a stocked lake. Everyone on the staff was very nice and willing to help in any way they could. We have already booked another stay this fall. Looking forward to our next stay.
