Great Campground
We camped here for three nights, the perfect place to be if you plan on visiting the close by Amana Colonies. Check in was a breeze with the very helpful and friendly staff. We were escorted to our site, all of which are full hookup with 50 amp service (bring a 30 to 50 amp dog bone to hook up, they have some available if you forget yours), back in on label gravel pads with picnic table, fire pit and free fire wood available at a central location. There are large trees scattered about the campground and the access roads are gravel and wide. Large grass area between the sites. They have a nice laundry facility.

Good Location
Great site and lots of grass. There were some holes in the grassy area that if you weren’t careful you’d step in and really mess up an ankle. Quiet and close to middle Amana.

Nice Place & Close To Attractions
Not a bad place and very nice staff. Made a reservation online and check-in was quick and easy. One of their guys will lead you to your spot. All pull-through until it gets busy enough to start backing but they have lots if room. Looks like no shade in a lot of the pics but there are some trees here and there so its not terrible. Roads are mostly gravel so there is a little bit of dust when it is dry but people are pretty respectful of slow travel. Rained pretty well during our stay. There was some pooling of water but it drains fairly quickly. Park is close to the attractions at Amana Colonies and there is a gas station nearby for fuel and other supplies. Park has everything from Scamps to tandem axle motorhomes and can accomodate all of us.

Huge Sites
Huge sites. All hookups are at rear of unit. Sewer connection is a few inches off ground; a little loose. Roads are mostly gravel. Shower rooms are a bit rough... servicable.

FMCA Rally
There were over 200 units at the rally and it did not feel crowded. Clean grounds and facilities. Great restaurants in Amana. History of Amana Colonies was amazing.

Nice Two Day Stay
Staff very friendly and helpful. Spacious sites with FHU. No cable (antenna picked up 4 stations). WiFi not bad. Love the thick grassy area. Picnic table. You can request a fire pit. Roads gravel so tend to kick up dust. Didn’t use the facilities. Great price with Passport America.

Lazy Daze
Easy access. Nearby creek with friendly cows. We came in after hours and our reservation was right there on the board. Easy to find our nice, level spot. Lovely grassy area. Pet friendly. Purchased a connector on site. Some supplies and snacks for purchase. Friendly staff.

tiny teardrop camper in middle of field
RV campground just a mile from The Amana Colonies. Very flat grassy field with no trees for shade or privacy. Excellent restroom facilities including free hot hot hot showers. Store was flooded by nearby creek in August 2015, repaired but not restocked by Sept 26 2015. Perfect for our "just passing thru" overnight stay and visit to the colonies.
