We stayed in this Park for 10 days in September of 2024. I give it the highest rating for the following reasons: 1. The staff at this park are very professional and it shows when you first enter the office. They went beyond our expectations and helped us arrange another day when we needed it. 2. This is the best RV Park to stay if you are visiting friends or relatives in the Chicago area or its suburbs. It takes about 25 minutes to get to South Holland, Posen and Country Club Hills. There are plenty of stops you can make along the way. 3. The park is a mixture of RVs and Mobile homes and people who stay for long periods because of work. There are sweeping lawns and it is very dog friendly. A really nice feature is that each site has its own trash cart, just like any neighborhood and the garbage company comes once per week to pick it up. 4. There is a great convenience store and laundromat in the front and the village of Portage has everything you need.

Good Overnight Stop

Mostly longer term users, but everyone kept to themselves. Sites close together but for overnight it was fine. Would have liked restrooms and showers for the price, but site had full hookups. Near train tracks but with the AC or fan going, we hardly noticed. Staff was very friendly and cheerful. We’d stay again.

Fine Overnight Stay

Was concerned due to prior reviews. Place was just fine. FHU, 50amp, friendly staff, help parking. Okay, so there's a train or three that run nearby. Never heard them at night! Will stay here anytime.

Nice Folks But Too Noisy

Not the greatest neighborhood. Mostly a permanent mobile home village with about a half doesn’t over nite sites. Part of park looks ok, part trashy. FHU and own garbage cart. No amenities at all. No cable, WiFi or pool. Worst of all you have a train that running very often at the back property line and in the front is the road noise and another train track. Told us we had to have our cats on a leash yet saw at least five cross by without leashes, also several loose dogs (had collars, no owners around).
