A Great Stay At A Beautiful Location

We came here mid week, with no reservation. The camp host was pleasant and there were dozens of available sites, even with a respectable amount of campers already on site. We were able to slide our 51’ RV/Trailer in to a beautiful site near the water. We went paddle boarding on the lake, watch for water snakes (they’re harmless)!

Nice Campground

A weird winding road from north to get there. It was dark and just an overnighter but just needed electric. Camp host on way in came out to collect our 20 and take our info. I think it would be a great park to spend some time in, hike or bike. We were one of like 3 campers there. Heard coyotes howling at night. No light pollution. Pit toilets clean and non smelly. Would stay again!

Wheeled Snowbirds

Huge level lots! Wonderful bike trails, lots of trees and nature. We cross the US twice a year from FL to WA State. One of the best parks over the last 4 years. Our 40' motorcoch could easily park at most sites. I believe there a few hundred. A must stay. I almost forgot to say, bring a 30amp adapter if you have a 50amp plug, just in case the perfect spot has 30.

This Is A Beautiful Campground

We have camped in 40 campground from East coast to the west coast and on our way back to the East coast and this is the best

We Are Spoiled

We can't camp anywhere else now that we have Wayne Fitz to compare to!! So sorry for all the other campgrounds in America!! Biggest yards, best views of the lake, clean, friendly; did I mention all the space?! We love watching all the deer roam around, riding bikes, walking the clear trails, biking the clean, paved trails, and picnicking under the lakeside pavilions. Showers are well-kept, and the playground is great to keep the kids occupied just long enough! We tried keeping this gem to ourselves for long enough; please go enjoy Wayne Fitzgerrell!!

Middle Of March

Very nice and quiet. $20 seems a bit much for out of season and only electric, but I was glad they had one of the campgrounds open. I'm sure this place gets rocking in the summer.

Beautiful

Greeted by deer at night and pelicans in the morning. Level sites, easy to navigate coming in at night. No water hookup. I didn't use the bathrooms, but hubby stopped in the small ones and said they weren't the worst or best. Scenery was beautiful!

Nice And Rustic

Great place to visit stayed for one night passing through would enjoy spending more time here. When coming to the park do not use exit 83 use exit 77 I ended up having to back up a 42 foot motorhome and trailer for approximately a half a mile.

This park is fantastic! Super large sites. We planned on staying two nights but stayed three because it was so peaceful. There was plenty of availability and we could pick any site that suited us. We were there the weekend of their annual Halloween festivities, and it we great. The park staff, hosts, volunteers and regulars to the park did a wonderful job despite the mid-afternoon rain storm. I would highly recommend and will stay here again, even go out of my way to do so if I find myself in the area.

Next Time

Just toured so we would know to stop next time. Tons of spaces and plenty of room. Electric but no water hookups. Fill tank up when you enter the park and there was a water pump at each main area. Bathrooms are a hole only!! Some are bigger with one shower.

Beyond beautiful. Will come back often.
