Beautiful Last Minute Stopover
Stayed 1 night after being unable to make it to our original planned stop. Very pretty campground. We reserved a full hookup site online ($26 w/o discount) an hour before we got there. The attendant had all paperwork waiting when we pulled in about 5:30.
Spots near the water have a large drop off in the nighthawk loop, we reserved a few sites back and had a nice level pad.
We will definitely be coming back for more than a quick stopover.

Truck Camper From Wisconsin
Beautiful campground. Rolled in around 6 on a Thursday in June. No Reservations. They had a few sites available. We were lucky and got one with a nice view of the lake. She said they were all booked for the weekend. Lady at check in was super nice!! Showers are outdated but hot and clean. Seen a skunk and a woodchuck. No wood available. Would definitely return!!

Gun Creek
This is our campground of choice, always full or very near full. Great staff and friendly campers. I believe we spent about 100 days here last summer. Headed back in May of this year. Highly recommended!

Very nice clean camp ground. About 20 of the sites have full hookup. All have 30 and 50 amp power. You should have leveling blocks available as some of the sites are not level.

Very nice. Almost full on late October weekend. Some of the sites have too much slant (hill) for a motor home but a trailer could get level. Lots of shade. Would stay here again.

Paved 9.4 mile meandering bike trail inside the park. Two other Corps of Engineer parks are on the same lake and also have extensive paved bike trails.
