Pretty Good Place
PLUSES
Helpful staff. Clean camp. Great bathhouses. Beautiful views over lake. Every amenity you'd need. Very safe.
MINUSES
Not all sites have sewer hook up. Trains can be loud if that is a problem for you.

Stayed two nites, trains all nite concrete pads. Campers on top of campers , no trees, camp fire/tables were available on several sites but not all. Great bath houses, however not our kind of “camping “

Nice Campground
Stopped here for the night while passing through. Nice, clean, quite campground. Showers were very nice! Only stayed one night, but seemed to be several amenities with the lake nearby. The campground has lake access. Trains went by several time late night and blew whistle. That was a little annoying. I don't think that is normal, but unsure. We would come back again if in the area.

Nice Clean Campground
Very Nice campground just outside the hustle and bustle of Atlanta. Clean as well as very clean bathhouses and front office has a small store upfront. Great access to the lake and not far drive to Red Top Mountain state park to rent boats or go hiking. Only downfalls were a couple of live ins and a train that passes every 30-60 minutes...day and night..it didn’t bother me and the family as much..still will return because of how nice the location was and because we enjoyed renting a boat and hitting the lake!! It is also a Good Sam location!

Nice Campground
We stayed a week at this campground. Bathhouse was very clean, ceramic and granite. Our site was a little tight between two pine trees we had to adjust a few times to give our slide enough room. I do agree with other reviews the trains are aggravating. There is security during the night. A few long term campers. There is lots to do around this area, boating, biking and hiking. We drove in to Atlanta to visit the aquarium and attend a Braves game.

Nice Place
Lovely views. A little pricey. Nice bath rooms & showers. Staff very friendly & helpful. This is a former COE park that is privately managed. COE still makes the rules. Trees are in close & most of the sites are not level. Be prepared to manually level. Tight fit for the big rigs like our 39ft 5er There are only a few sites with full sewer. Some only have water& electric. We stay here when we visit our son. Have always had an enjoyable experience. Even when it snowed & all of the area lost power!

Called the campground late at night needing a place to pull off the highway and sleep, very friendly and got us in for the night, easy pull through site, full hookup, will definitely stay here again when im in this area.

Great Views But Problems
Great views on the peninsula do not make up for a lack of sewer hookups, inadequate laundry facility, non-climate controlled restrooms and very unleveled sites. Loud trains and failure to enforce park rules make this one to avoid.

Nice campground. Train whistle occasionally in the middle of the night. A little tight for big rigs, but manageable. Be sure to come in from the north off the interstate. Railroad tracks coming from the south will cause an RV to high center on a huge crossing hump.

Very clean. Bath house excellent. Frequent train can be loud but access to lake, pool, and playground for kids make up for it. Would stay there again
