Pretty level sites with some small trees. Several opens sites when we came thru mid-week during summer, but most were already reserved for the weekend. Mid 70's the first day, then mid 50's the second day as stormed rolled in. It didn't stop us from seeing moose, deer and marmot both days. Even sighted a bald eagle. Woild like to come back to visit this area!

A Nice Place
A beautiful place. It used to be more forested but because of the pine beetle kill, many trees are missing now. However, that only facilitates a broader view of the surrounding stunning mountains!
1. The dump station is about 5 miles away in another part of the park (the entrance to North Michigan and Bockman). There is no water at the dump station for rinse-out.
2. No water hookups here but you can draw water at a central spot. I was worried someone would stop me and say that you could only fill containers and not hook a hose to the RV like they told me at Chambers Lake Campground nearby but that didn't happen. You might need extra hose. I used a small spare as an extension to reach. A better idea is go back past the dump station previously mentioned and draw your water there. Please don't use your black-water hose there! (You should have two different hoses folks)
3. We backed in a 32' Class C (Jayco Melbourne) with a 16' ATV trailer in our spot no problem.
