Beautiful Area
It's right on Blue Mesa reservoir you have place to park your boat or extra vehicles it's got beautiful views of the lake and close to fishing it's only about 15 minutes to town where there's everything you need the people that run this place are very nice they have shower facilities laundromat they have upgraded their Wi-Fi to fiber optic so it's the latest and greatest we have been coming here for many years and will continue to return for the beautiful area it's just a short drive to crested Butte and its many River accesses up that way so give him a call and book your reservations . Also it is been taken over by new owners so they have cleaned up the mess
from the previous owners and our upgrading the area

Beautiful Sunrises and Sunsets!
We stayed for three months in the fall of 23 and back for three more while my wife is on a nursing contract. Camp is just above Blue Mesa Reservoir with great views all around. New management this spring and they've been very helpful and working to get the place neat and ready for spring. Sites are set up like theater seating so much better views than other local campgrounds.

Blue Mesa Reservoir
Office staff Katie and Lee very courteous, friendly and welcoming. They are ready to accommodate your needs. The campground is very well maintained and most sites are level. Grandkids had a great time and made many friends during our stay. Will definitely return when in the area.

We booked in Jan '21 with former owners. We got a letter announcing new ownership and upcoming improvements.
We arrived and found that the cable TV had been cut, the local TV stations not available, and wifi was a very limited bandwidth. Our router and cell booster could not grab a signal.
I asked for a refund for remaining 5 night due to the communication difficulties. I was flatly told only 50 %.
Here is the problem. This camp is undergoing many changes, but as the new owners they could have reached out and told us of this limited services... they all of this but did not bother to relate this well in advance of our arrival.
I would not book here until ALL of the upgrades are in place. All sites contain ruts and crowns, very difficult to level.
Customer service should be number one when taking up new ownership! Not disclosing issues prior to our arrival would have been professional. I lost $150, and that is not a good business model when you 'stif' customers.

Friendly staff, great little place to shut down for a day or two. About 12 miles west of Gunnison. Huge lake across the highway if you like fishing. We got a logging map from the visitor center in Gunnison and took day trips on some old logging roads, BLM roads, and some dirt county roads in our everyday Jeep and found some awesome sights.
You’re close enough to Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Ouray, Silverton, and Crested Butte.
The park has some huge pull throughs with 50amp F/Hs. The sites have relatively level gravel pads with trees and grass. We drove past the laundry facilities and the looked clean and up to date( we didn’t use the bath house).
We will definitely come back.

Good For Boaters And Fishing
Not much here at all except close to reservoir for boats and the river for fishing. Recent WiFi upgrade. Bathrooms/shower fine. Nothing for kids or pets. About 20min to town.

Its Ok
Friendly stuff. No pool and slow wifi. Well maintained camp ground. There is nothing around. Lake only for boaters no beach or swimming area.
