Redwoods And Elk

This is a pleasant campground with some sunny sites and some under the trees. Adjacent to the campground is a nature walk and elk viewing areas. The elk have always been around when we've been here. The real attraction is the drive through the redwoods along the old US 101. Miles of old growth big trees with hiking trails. In my opinion this is the best redwood forest accessible from the road anywhere in california. Far superior to the more well known avenue of the giants and richardon's grove, less crowded and completely without curio shops and drive thru trees. Easy access to 101
