Tucked Away
A magical redwood campground. We pull a TT. 30’w/ F250. Glad we weren’t any bigger but saw many that were. Must have RV skills to maneuver & park. Thick dense Redwoods are beautiful. We were overcast most the time so very dark under the canopy. We were next to the playground, it was used up until the 10pm curfew. The basketball hoop was 30’ from the bed in trailer. At least kids were out being kids as there is no cell or Wi-Fi in park. Staff was the best. All of them. It stayed cool/cold in the shade. The river was running full. Lots of activity & fun being had. Clean bathrooms.

Magical
I just loved this campground! Sites are placed so nicely, you feel alone! Probably the prettiest campground we’ve stayed in! Sarah at the check in was so friendly! If you want to stay somewhere quiet, with water and electricity, by a lovely river, surrounded by incredible redwoods, then this is the place!

Great RV Camping Experience During COVID
The family and I were looking for a little escape during all the COVID-19 lockdowns. The staff took all precautions to stay safe with all the state and local health orders. The camp was quiet and tucked away under the redwoods. River was deep in areas for our older kids to swim, but mellow and shallow in most areas for our toddlers to walk around and play in the water. They had water/electric hook ups and provided a mobile dump service (for a fee) or had dump stations near the exit that were easy to pull up to. Overall, had a great first time RV camping under the redwoods. We cannot wait to go back!

Not BIG RIG FRIENDLY.
OMG. Looks like an old state park. No wifi, no cable, no satellite, and no antennae. Had inches on each side trying to navigate the campground, one way road so you have to traverse a maze of redwoods to get out. STAY AWAY !! if you want to disconnect and have a small RV then this is the place. Oh, in the fall I can piss a bigger stream than they have. Stupid expensive too boot. Never again

Nice campground. Be sure to bring kayaks or float tubes. Needs more showers though.

One Of The Best Parks On The North Coast
I love Gualala and this park is one you will want to return to! It is nestled in the California Redwoods and sits along the Gualala River. You can kayak or put a small boat in the water and go to the ocean 1 mile away. DO wear your sunscreen. This park has all the amenities and also offers a dump station for those in a motorhome. I have camped their in a tent, I have taken a VW Westfalia Camper Van and am now looking forward to returning with my 22 foot Fleetwood Flair. The sleepy town of Gualala is nearby too.
