I arrived on Thursday and only one campsite taken. After touring Mt Rainier NP on Friday, the campground was filled and overflow parking packed. Saturday was the first day of bow season and hunters use the campground as a base camp. Friday night the campground was filled but no one there. The hunters all packed into the woods for the night. The Campground is 5 miles from the highway. At two miles there are two bare sites if you don't want to drive all the way. No tables but nice sites.
