Muddy But Wonderful
We camped here April 12 thru 16, 2022. We were in section 4 Spot 141. Many camp spots were flooded. The first beach access path we found was flooded. While this sounds dismal, it wasn't. We found a different path to the beach that was wide and clear. We had plenty of space to walk our dog and overall, we thought this was an amazing campground. The restrooms were spotless! We didn't use the showers but I saw them being cleaned every morning. We're planning to stay here again!

Loved this State Park. 750 steps to the ocean from full hook up site. The park is clean and well maintained. There is a ranger and camp host presence in the park.

No FCFS sites with electric. They do have FCFS for non-electric

Forest That Floods
Really beautiful campground within walking distance to the ocean. The hook-up sites fill up quickly, but the other 3 loops had plenty of availability. We stayed in the first site on the 3rd loop and it had a huge concrete pad and gorgeous mature trees all around. This loop was pretty empty with only tent campers spread out around the rest of the loop. One thing to be aware of is that it rains a lot in this area so we woke up to our campsite flooding rather quickly. The rain let up within a couple hours. This would be difficult if you were tent camping though. Nice showers that take tokens, but you get 6 minutes for a dollar...so definitely worth it!

We love this camp ground. Private sites with a woodsy feel, and you can smell/ hear the ocean. The walk isn’t bad, but prepare for a good workout on the legs, especially through the dry sand. Great family place, clean bathrooms and showers. We are repeat visitors.

Loud Neighbors But Beach Close
WA State Parks do not give discounts for Disabled or Seniors. Thought price was high just because we are used to our National Discount but also Park Bathrooms are pretty muddy, the Coin Shower in Women's goes completely off & cold every toilet flush. You don't see neighbors but if you get Loud neighbors, it definitely makes sleeping rough. The Good is the close proximity to pack up for the day, drive on beach & spend the WHOLE day there!

Several sites that have excellent privacy. The park is within walking distance to the ocean and just a short drive into town.

All Good
We are in our 3rd (Sunday) of 7 day stay and 3rd trip in our 29' grand design, reflection. So far so good, no complaints as of yet. Walking back from casino last night we forgot a flashlight was a little hard finding our way, casino has a shuttle back to campground but I wasn't about to walk back again. After we managed to get on the trial to campground and off the beach. we did see a large bear! He must of been at least 500lbs. I am 250lbs and he was 2x bigger than me. I tried to get a picture with my cell phone but by the time I got it ready he was gone. Cell service in the campground is poor but you can get a signal if you go to main gate or the beach.

Muddy Mess
Only 2 of the 4 loops were open, and most of the hookup sites had large puddles and/or mud. Had trouble finding a time when staff was in the office, even during designated hours. Stopped here mainly as a jumping off point for the surrounding area.

Nice coastal camp site. Rv sewer hook up is difficult and old. Altogether nice location with beach access. Tent sites are nice also.
