Truck Stop Below You
As I write this review I'm not going to get this a high review the first we asked for full hookups they send us to a back-end site that had only water and electricity had to go all the way back to the truck stop to reschedule another spot for full hookups this is okay maybe for a one-night stay but I would not recommend this Campground when I booked it at the front desk the cashier's had attitudes................ attitudes like well that's what you get it was $46 I will never stay here again nor will I recommend this for anyone to stay here again and no need for pictures the ones that are there are a little bit deceiving think before you call in,,,,,,,

I like having full hook up when I travel, so this was a nice place to be overnight. There is one road in and the same road out. I would definitely stay here again. Used my GS for a discount.

Not Bad For Overnight
While the sites are behind a truck stop and there is a steady drone from idling engines, this campground is better than most for overnight. Take advice from other reviewers and stop at Shell Station pumps to check in. Sites are on a hill. Reserve one of 5 pull thrus. Enjoy mountain views!

Not bad for a one night stay, full hook ups and dump station if needed. Campsites are above a truck stop. Make no mistake . A full time truck stop/Travel Center. No signs on the road to tell you where the campsites are. Pull in on the right side of the IHOP to park then go to the Fuel desk to check in.

Save your money. Park in a truck stop. DO NOT take the road going up the steep hill if you’re towing a vehicle behind you. We turned around and left.

Great little one night stop when heading north or south on I-81.

I gave this two stars because I was disappointed. Maybe it was my fault I did not make reservations. We got a back in with water and electric 30 amp no sewer for $35 + tax. My tanks were empty and I had a full water tank so I could have dry camped anywhere for free. It was pretty hard finding my spot since the numbers on the the posts are all messed up and I could read 1 out of 5, so I had to do some arithmetic to figure out which one was mine and then ask somebody to verify it. I would not stay here again.
Update I came back this year and found things better. Sites marked better. Some sites improved. Overall cleaner. For pull throughs, better call ahead as thoae spacese are limited. Plenty of back ins.

We used this as a stopover place and it was perfect. However the pull through spot I booked did not have a 30 amp hook up (despite me making sure). She said some have both some don’t. So they had to move me. The second spot was a back up spot but there was no markings and it was just a gravel semi circle or we just had to guess where we were going to park at. There are permanent residence here as well as the traveling ones but it is great for a one night stay. Nothing to really do for the kids since all the roads are gravel or steep.

If you find yourself traveling on I81 and need a simple super easy and convenient place to hook up overnight, this is the place. No frills but everything worked and was clean. Truck stop is a good baseball throw away from the closest sites so the running truck hum is a constant (hence the 4 stars). Truck stop has IHOP and helpful people to get you set up.

We stayed for one night last night. Easy access from I81 for our big rig and nice long level pull through site. We didn’t notice any excess noise from the trucks or highway. Convenient to fuel up with diesel in the morning. We will stay here again.

Sleep With The Purring Of A Diesel Truck
We paid $35 for one night in a pull thru with 50a/w/s. The campground is just up the hill from the truck stop. I could hear trucks idling and coming and going all night. I'm not sure if this is any better than parking down in the trucks.

We stopped overnight on our travels from Indiana to DC. Great little convenient sites right off the interstate. Full hook-up, pull-thru, restaurant, store, close to Downtown Historic Lexington VA. Definitely will stop in again on our travels.
