Stay Away

A culture of how may we NOT help you. I gave it a few months and several interactions with various employees to make sure someone wasnt just having a bad day. Bottom line. For a place with average facilities and bad service, recommend you stay anywhere else.

This is just a glorified trailer park. All the full sewer hookups are taken by the full-time residents. The store staff are rude and there's this little guy called Sergeant Jim that is supposed to be security, but he does half assed electrical work at the campground. He is quite rude also. All the staff must hate their jobs because they are clearly not nice. Don't camp here in the rainy season because the place floods. Bad. And after the flood recedes, the biggest damn mosquitos we've ever seem come out to feed. In the month of June through July, the area is teeming with mean yellow biting flies. The campground staff claim there is nothing that you can buy that will kill the flies. To sum it all up, the best part about this place is leaving. We won't ever come back.

My husband and I have stayed here several times. Never any problems with staff or rudeness. Newly remodeled bathhouses/restrooms. I now compare all campgrounds to Chesapeake , especially the bathhouses!! A tad high but sometimes....you really do get what you pay for. Only 4 stars because Wi-Fi is hard to get unless at office. Which is pretty far from camps.
