Great Place

My family and I camped here in July 2020. Camping on the Battenkill was a surprise find and we were more than satisfied with their accommodations. We learned new owners took over less than a year ago and it shows that they have been investing in the business and looking to create a clean and safe environment for their guests. Brand new bathhouses have been installed throughout the grounds. The play area for the kids was well maintained. The grand feature is direct river access to the Battenkill river. We drove about a mile up river and that brought us on an approx two and half float, on tubes, right back to the campground. We had two vehicles so we were able to navigate the logistics easily. Definitely would camp here again and hope to soon.

Picturesque Campground

Beautiful with lots of private river view lots. Very clean facilities that have been updated. Lots of variety of sites too, wooded open field, views of the mountains. Would recommend!

A Very Nice Campground

A very good campground set on a large section of the Batten Kill River.

This is a great campground for enjoying the Battenkill river experience. I hired a local guide, John Rogers, who gave me a great half day trout fishing on the river. Most sites are in the woods with an overflow area around the large open field. Not far from the Orvis flag ship store so don’t plan on leaving with any money!

What a fantastic and peaceful campground! The owners and staff are very pleasant, the grounds were immaculate and the campground is a perfect escape! Wooded and quiet along with swimming and tubing down the river was a perfect combination for our young family of five. Will definitely be going back!!!

Battenkill River

I spent every summer at this campgrounds until I was 18 years old! Camping on the battenkill was my second home. We spent hours and hours on the river tubing down to NY boarder, fly fishing and swimming and jumping in the honey holes! We even bathed in those waters. ????. Camping on the battenkill is an Arlington VT staple and real close to other amazing attractions in the area. Mt. Equinox and candle mill shops to Manchester VT. East coast famous skiing and mountain biking! You name it it's there for you and your family adventures. Take a drive down to shaftberry VT and you will be pleasantly surprised! Cheers to a great American place to visit and even live!
