Best RV Park In VAN Horn, TX

Not real fancy but level roomy spots. Cable was nice to have. Wifi allowed streaming Netflix. Accomodating staff. A well run park.

Very nice all you want in campground. Easy in level parking lots of room friendly staff did not get to eat at restaurant as it was Sunday and they were not open. Will stay again

Great Overnight Stop

Convenient Old KOA with new owners. $39 credit, $36 cash. It was about a third full, don’t know why they didn’t space us every other spot. Right next to 42 ft 5th wheel running 3 air conditioners (75 degrees outside) open your windows already.

Great little RV spot, no longer a KOA, with plenty of room for those without reservations. Great little cafe with home cooking. Would stay here again

Big John

Great place to settle in. Super clean restrooms, large spaces with a wonderful restaurant and the staff is really friendly. It’s about 1/2 to 3/4 mile off I 10 so the highway noise is almost nonexistent. They also accept Good Sam. We’ll be back on our return trip...

Clean and quiet. Easy to find. Friendly staff. Only stayed one night, but very enjoyable. Level sites. The town of van horn has nothing to offer, but this was a great overnight stay during our travels.

Great Campsite

Great owners, flat land, full hookups, free WiFi, very helpful, and very reliable. Also, the stars looked very nice from the campground at night. I would totally recommend this camp site.

Wonderful Stop

We are new to RV'en, and found this Park Employee to be nothing but the best. Helped us through the process of getting checked in with no stress. And his bread was the best! Thanks Van Horn Good Sam!

Not KOA, Sam's club now. Has level sites all pull thru clean. WiFi sucks. Check out the town 80% shut down, sad. No grocery store.

Great Place

Level, grass at sites so not dusty. Very friendly. Quiet

Nice and quite. Pool was great! The dogs enjoyed the run and the pond was nice. Angie is very helpful and nice. We will stay again on our way back. The rabbits, birds and chickens are fun to watch.

Great Place And Great Service

This is no longer a KOA, now offers Good Sam discount. Great people in the office and the place is very well taken care of. Nice dog run, full timers are in the back area, very safe feeling. Cafe on site with a good breakfast and I believe they are opened for dinner too. Strong recommendation!!

The people here couldn’t be any nicer or friendlier! We have everything we need. Clean bathrooms, locking showers, laundry facilities, even a little cafe right here on site. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Again

We liked this place so much the first time, we stayed again. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars and not 5 like last time is bc the facilities were not as clean as they were before

This seems to be the best in town! It is very well cared for and the hosts are helpful and courteous. The food was good, I would definitely stay again.

Nice overnight stay

Very friendly staff. Check in was quick. On site café served a nice dinner at reasonable price. My pet peeve is to have hot food served hot and ours was perfect... (nice job Karen and Brian) Camp is about 1/4 mile south of I-10. No road noise to speak of. Great nights sleep. All sites are pull through so set up was easy.

Great People, Great Park

Stayed at this former KOA, now a Good Sam park based on the number of positive reviews. It was just as nice as the reviews suggested it would be. Nice on-site restaurant, spotless bathrooms and laundry (newer laundry machines), decent spacing and landscaping too. Very close to I-10 yet zero road noise from interstate due to topography. Park was at about 50% capacity and staff spaced out the guests so that no one had any real close neighbors, a thoughtful touch. 100% of the staff we encountered were friendly, knowledgeable, polite! This place *is* a gem, we will be back.

RV Comfort

We were surprised to find this gem of an RV park outside Guadalupe National Park in Van Horn. The staff went out of the way to help us out and make us feel comfortable in their rv park. In fact, we plan to come back here on the way from excursions out west this spring. I would stay here in an instance without any hesitation. The park has beautiful stars at night with a sweet smell of the desert too.

Good For Overnight

Called in advance, and arrived after a big monsoon storm. Decent amount of standing water, but manageable. Fairly level, good sized spots. After check in, upon walking to the exit, the host advised he had forgotten to inform me of the water issues-- The city had experienced a water main break and high levels of particulates were present in the water and boiling before use was suggested. He handed me a jug of drinking water and basically said flush your tanks good at the next stop if you hook up!! Luckily we had some in our holding tank to get by through the night. A little frustrated that this was not disclosed over the phone and ALMOST not disclosed at all! The overall maintenance of the park is good, definitely on the older side. What saved this park from a lesser rating was the on-sight fishing pond. It's really beautiful and worth the walk to the back of the park. Don't miss it, but wear insect repellent!

Amazing Owners

This is a great and clean campground with very caring owners. I called ahead for a spot and Michael gave us a spacious and treed spot that was very scenic. I made a big mistake and left my surge protector plugged in when we left and didn't realize it until we were 400 miles away. I called Michael, he went out to our site to retrieve it, then took it to the post office and mailed it to me at his expense. Said I could send him a check when we got back home. They really care about their park and their visitors. Give it a try!

Nice place. Very quiet. No trees but this is west TX. Laid out excellent so your rv blocks the West sun.

Away From Traffic Noise

Elderly ex-KOA now Good Sam. A gem in the desert. Water, power and cable tv best we've had in 7 weeks on road. They have a cafe that serves breakfast and lunch but we dined in our little motorhome. Bathrooms and laundry are old but clean. We didn't use either. We stayed here twice and would stay again.

Note: Now a Good Sam, not KOA. We love this park and stop every time we come through this area. Quiet, peaceful, and small.

Good cafe on site. No need to cook with a hearty dinner and breakfast at the cafe.

Great place to camp. Quiet and friendly. Had a great home made meal in the little cafe on site. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Would stay here again.

Class A Traveler

WiFi didn't work so had to use our data plans unfortunately. Front desk staff, nice. All else okay.
