What A Surprise!
This is such a nice campground. The electrical box was new and replaced recently. The plumbing was recently replaced. All new and excellent working order. So impressive. The laundry room has new Maytag machines. They have beautiful animals for all to enjoy. Chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, donkey, cow. Playground for children. Dog park for furry friends. Nice large pull through lots. I don't know what more a camper needs. The owners were so friendly and showed us to our spot. So pleasantly surprised of the facilities. Thank you!

Shamrock Texas Route 66
We have a reason to be in shamrock. In a small there's a great little campground and that's right here. If you've been on the road for a while and you just need to rest, You can do your laundry and it's full hookup. The internet is decent especially if you have starlink. The owners are super helpful and friendly, It's quiet and very serene just enough time to catch your breath so you can catch the road again.

Nice Overnight Stop
Clean, safe park. Gravel sites- but fairly level. Friendly staff. Easy access to I-40. The weather was a bit wild when we were there, but thankfully we didn’t need to use the tornado shelters. Office gave us recommendations for food in the area. There was free Wi-Fi, but we didn’t use it. Park filled up right before dark, so would recommend making reservations. Overall, would stay here again.

Good Overnight Stop
Nice little campground for an overnight stop. Owners were very friendly. Restrooms were under construction so no showers available. Large sites. Will definitely return on our trips out west.

Good Spot For Overnight
We stopped here on an eastbound trek and had a good stay. Owners/Staff were great. Site was pretty level, but had to add blocks under stairs as ground sloped away there. Wifi was very good. No problems with water or electric. Access to the park is suboptimal. Eastbound you have over 2 miles of rough access road in and over 3 milrs out and have to go through downtown Shamrock. But, you get to see the gas station inspiration for Cars. Overall we would stay again. 4 only because of access road and the stair issue. Otherwise great.

Nice place to stay for an overnight. Full hook-ups. Owners, knowing we had no ac put us on a treed lot for shade. Only 1 shower/ rest room for the whole park, but looks like they are trying to remedy that.

Great Place
Great campground right off the highway! Family owned and operated. They are making lots of improvements…a dream in process. Stayed 1 night. Despite the proximity to the highway,I slept like a baby. The chickens, donkey, goats, ducks, and sheep were fun to see after a long drive. Sites are easy to level on. FHU not an issue. 30/50 amp. Excellent store on site for something you might have forgot. * military discount

Cozy Stop
Great location right off I 40 / old 66. Welcoming staff introduced themselves and walked us to our spot. Nice and flat ground with all the hook ups. Kids had a great time walking around and viewing the animals, they even played on the swings. Dog run allows the dogs to get some exercise. Weather is nice and breezy on the plains. Recommend driving a couple extra hours to get to this location.

Great For A Layover
This little gem sits just off the interstate on a road that last saw maintenance in 1980 I’m guessing. As for the staff very kind and friendly. They check you in and then lead you to your site. I appreciated the postcard to check in. This might be a nice place for kids as they have chickens and goats (penned up, not roaming freely). The sites are level but not gravel or cement, have ample water pressure, and give a wide berth on either side. The other travelers were friendly and respectful. The only downside to this location was the noise from the interstate but my rig has thin walls anyway. The 10% military discount was greatly appreciated! Wish I had more time to talk to the owners—I’m almost certain they could answer any of my TEOTWAWKI questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Stay at a Great Price
Pulled off to stay overnight on a family trip out west. Owner/operators were super nice and engaging. Level 30/50 amp sites. Nice views of Texas countryside. Cool, steady, light breeze. Was a great stay for the price.

Love The Character Of This Place!
Great couple John and Krystal own and run this place. It is obvious the improvements they have made and are still making. My husband and I loved our stay! Great level sites, with all new hookups. It is right off the old “original” Route 66 and 3 miles from Shamrock where you have to go see the iconic Conoco gas station that was used as the basis for the cartoon movie Cars. They even have Mater parked outside. Can’t wait to see this campground when it is finished! Would definitely come back!

Great stop on our way to AZ. New owners are super friendly n helpful. Beautiful sunset n rise. Windy.. so no campfires ...can totally understand that. Drive thru sites with 30/50 amp are level n full hook ups. Easy off . Easy on I 40. Last original section of route 66 right in front. Would highly recommend this campground.

Great Stop Priced Right
In the process of restoring this classic route 66 rv park. 2 miles from exit and right on a peace of historic pavement. Great 5 g wifi. If you don't need frills and want a good overnight stop here.

Awesome Place And Owners!
This is exactly what we were looking for. Full hookups, 30 & 50 Amp, Large open spaces. Trees are not hanging down low. Perfect for an extra large toy hauler pulled by a double cab dually, and followed by a Durango. We all fit in one space! Owners called us back after we left a message late one night. Got us right in! Thank you guys, We will stay here again.

Very Nice
For $20 this was a very nice spot. Streamed Netflix perfectly! Clicked the breaker when running the a/c and hot water heater at the same time but we got by just fine. 30 amp service was fine except for that. Could be my unit using to many amps anyway. Near interstate but not very noisy at all.

Nice Layover
Good place to stop over for the night. As of this review the office is being remodeled, so not a lot of amenities. The pool hasn’t been filled with water for a LONG time. Everything else is very nice and well kept. WIFI is strong and water and sewer are good.

This place will be a gem when the remodel is finished. The grounds are very well maintained, the hosts friendly, the wifi good. The showers and toilets are not ready. Call ahead to have them hold a spot. Not all sites are open yet. We will definitely return.

One of the nicest small campgrounds we have stayed at.staff/owner's are the nicest people. Held our spot for us after we called to say we had motor home problem.. After a long, stressful day what a very pleasant surprise to have them come out to greet us at the door with a smile. Right off the interstate but had no noise. Still doing remodeling, but the lots were large and level, good WiFt. Will stay here again..
