The Worst State park In Texas
The pads and paths to the pads are washed away gravel, leaving huge ruts . There was no path to Bald Eagle 002, a pull through if you can get to it. Seriously, unless your rig is a 4x4, don’t chance damage. Next is the absolute lack of any signs so make sure you have a map. Finally, this is the poorest park design ever. There are literally 3 entrances with no way to get from one area to the other within the park. If that isn’t enough to discourage you, they lock the gates at 4:45PM . You are given the combination to a padlock to get in and out.

Good Spot
We stayed 3 nights on a top from Austin to Midland. We needed good cell service to work for a few days and relax in the afternoons. The site's were level, water pressure good and Verizon service was excellent. We had an issue with 50 amp service. The ranger was quick to come and fix the issue. We would stay again when passing through the area. 36 ft. MH with a toad.

Nice Stop Close To Everything
Pull thru with water n 50 amp service, clean bathroom n shower n close to stores/gas makes this a good overnight spot. Katherine the park ranger very polite n helpful. Can't beat the price especially with a Texas Park Pass.

Great SP!
We stopped here for an overnighter. Great state park! Katherine, the ranger at the check-in station, was extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of space between sites. Water and electric hookups only but dump site nearby. Decent playground for kids. Firewood is available for a donation at the ranger station.

Great Value!
We took the weekly rate of $100 Inc water and power (no sewer). There is a daily park entry fee per adult but as we are headed to Blanco SP next week we just bought the annual pass.
Lots of space between sites, nice facilities good Verizon 4G cover and quiet, at least at this time of the year. Lots of deer and other critters but not spotted any javelina yet.
Recommended.

The lake was full of sticks. Couldn't fish from the shore without getting caught on something. WARNING!!--The mosquitoes come out at dark and they'll carry you away.
