Marathon RV Park
Was just there for three mites. They put me near the hiway and the train there is no cable TV the rest rooms are tiny.. They say they have a cantina yes but it is closed. If you come for the stars good luck not much. Know one gave us the WiFi code or a sit map had to find our own way. What a waste of money

Amazing Night Skies!
The night skies were just absolutely breathtaking. Easy spaces to get into especially for a newbie like myself! Not all spaces had dump thingys. Lol See! Still a newbie! 😆 found a little peaceful pond to stroll around. Very great place to visit!

What A Surprise
We needed a place to overnight on way to Big Bend. Great stay with stargazing show surprise and two very knowledgeable guys, such a special for the night. Tacos at the Hotel was amazing and also the hotel was very pretty! Next visit to Big Bend we will stay here, not drag the RV all the way to NP and SP as it gets pretty up and down further south and west. Sites pretty big and easy to maneuver

Good Choice
We stayed one night on our way east. Star gazing was the highlight. It takes place Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights starting at sunset. The campground is basic but there is a large courtyard to enjoy that is beautifully kept. I would stay here again and recommend it to others

Oh, My Stars!
We stayed for almost a week and enjoyed our time in Marathon. The first night we enjoyed looking at the stars with the resident astronomer. The rest of the week we stayed cozy in our warm RV at night as it got really cold! The stars were truly spectacular, but too cold for me. During the day we explored Big Bend, which was convenient to access from the RV park. The only reason we give four stars and not five was the difficult to use laundry room, and the train next to the park.

A Nice Rest
We’re on our way from Zapata to Terlingua. This was a great place to stay a night . . . A beautiful star filled night. Bill had his telescope out for us to gaze through . . . a special treat! Make it a point to stay if you’re in this neck-of-the-woods . . . no I mean desert. My Rating Star System 1. Stay if you must . . . 2. Just below the average we’ve seen, but good enough; 3. Nice, above average, clean; 4. Very good, super clean, great service; 5. Exceptional, nothing better

You Gotta See This Place
We workamp here for Danny. He is REAL. The sky at night is awesome. If you want a resort with all the bells and whistles then this not it. But the Basics are very good. Wi-Fi is the best we have encountered in any park in Texas. The place is authentic and Frank the cook is good. Weather is the bomb. Hardly no humidity. Here it's the 1st of July and avg day temp feels like 80's. Night time is avg. 70's. Thanks Danny.

Good, Comfy Place For A Week
I ended up far ahead of schedule on my cross country trip, crashed here for a week. Pleasant, nice people, great weekly rate, ok town. Only wish the wifi were better, very laggy.

Great Place
This place is a gem FHU, Astronomer’s dream spot. I stayed 3 nights & would have stayed longer if it wasn’t for reservations made ahead of time. Walk into the town for some other local gems. Also gateway to Big Bend National Park

THE best Astro Park In The USA
Just go. The facilities are always well maintained, easy access to level roomy sites, lots of connections But that's not the magic. The magic is in the night skies. Wonderfully dark, and owner caters to astronomy. Big concrete pads for your scopes, plenty of power, and Danny may even drag out his 24" dobs for you. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the courtyard is a fantastic evening social retreat. Big bend NP is less than an hour away too!

Great place to see the stars.
Smaller park with level spaces and plenty of things to check out. Nice managers and if your into astronomy this is the place to be. The courtyards are a great place to sit and relax. Will stay here again.
