Stayed overnight in the truck/RV area with 3 other RVs and quite a few trucks. There are many pull through spots. This rest area provides boardwalks with picnic areas, educational info on the Texas/Mexico war, clean restrooms. We felt safe.

Convenient, right on I-10, free Highway Dept rest stop. Pull thru spaces, shared with big rigs with engines running. No hookups, clean restrooms, no showers. Good place to stop on the way.
