Good Enough
Still $20/night. Quiet campers with tolerable highway noise. Most of what was already said is pretty accurate. $30 steaks at restaurant next door (same owner?) is complete garbage. Do not the food! No stores nearby, gas station next door (same owner?) has snacks at shocking prices (frozen snicker bar for $3.50)šŸ˜Æ. However, this is middle of nowhere on I-10 and is cheap and clean and level. Nice views at sunset, 7 species of cactus grow between some sites, easy to maneuver around. Would stay longer/again if I come this way.

What A Shame
Such a beautiful location with views but nobody seems to care. A possible gold mine but no effort being put into it. Many sites unusable because of maintenance issues or overgrown landscaping. Nobody around to help. The bar next door is strictly a locals hangout with spotty service and poor food quality, overpriced liquor ($7 per shot no matter what the brand),and poorly maintained. Although I agree with their politics, they have a stick it in your face attitude instead of running a business. Okay for the price for one night with full hookups but that is all.

Not Bad
Itā€™s a nice spot in the middle of nowhere TX. Gravel sites/roads. Laundry room is ok, itā€™s basically a stock room for the Saloon but the machines work well using quarters šŸ˜Ž thereā€™s a nice folding table if needed Sites are long, roads are wide. There are cones in some no clue why.. the cones get moved around from site to site by guests. You are on your own, no one works in the campground, use pay box on office building (back of campground) or pay online on website. Or if thereā€™s an issue call #on website. Nextdoor is a truck stop/gas station and the bar. But even with that & I-10, itā€™s actually pretty quiet here. Weā€™d come back when passing by or for a few days.

Safe Harbor For A Night
Well-kept, wide, long slots, and plenty of availability. Many slots have both front and rear sewer hookups. Country bar and restaurant on premises makes a fantastic steak dinner, nothing frozen, everything handmade in house. And for $20 (dropped in a box at the little cabin), you can't beat the price. Be aware there are no restrooms or showers. Also, no OTA stations, cable, or Wi-Fi, so you'll have to find some other way to entertain yourself. Did I mention there's a friendly country bar on premises?

Nice overnighter. Some road noise. Fuel (Valero) , Bar, ice machine, and steakhouse all right there. Clean, level, gravel, spacious sites. For $20 Iā€™ll be back.

Works for us
I get tired of people reviewing a park for what it is not instead of what it is! This park is gravel and level, nice views of Davis mountains at sunset. Easy access off highway, no reservations needed, owner friendly, some nicely landscaped lots and enough spaces you can be by yourself. Has a bar and gas next door if you choose. Because it is a trucker pull off and lot you will hear some semi noise. Only 4 stars as park could use some lighting but would absolutely stay here again!

Great Overnight
Quiet park easy to reserve and very easy to register. Driving coast to coast and needed an overnight park, very pleased with it for what it is. Nice little pathway to walk the dogs but be careful of all the cacti. Ice for sale on property was very convenient but there is not a dog park as advertised.

Watch For Snakes And Scary Host!
Didnā€™t actually see any rattlers but Jonathan sure was creepy! Thanked him for his military service & then took my dog out in this barren area without his leash. There was no one around but he came flying out of his trailer, screaming ā€œGet that dog on a leash! Itā€™s a state lawā€ I immediately complied and a bit later when pup was safe and sound in our camper he drove by. When I waved he scowled and shook his head. Would not stay there again.

Not a resort, mostly a worker's camp, but a fine overnight. Call ahead, you get a site number. Drive in to your spot and the pleasant host comes by to pick up the money, or drop a twenty in the box. No problem.

Bad place to stop. Needed to register at the entrance Circle Bar. Ended up not staying because the bar tender was not able to get in touch with the park owner to see if there was even an opening to stay. You do not want to stay here. Keep driving. Registration is NOT in the RV spot 16..........

Good Enough
Nothing fancy, pretty bare bones, but it's location is right off the highway next to a gas station which is perfect if you're just looking for a place to pull in and sleep for the night. The registration "office" is an RV in spot 16. 30, 50 amp, water & sewage http://www.saddlemountainrvpark.com/
