Not Much Here
First state park that I have been to in the middle of a field. It is not very scenic or wooded however there is a nice river that runs right by the camp ground however it is not very easy to get to it. A good stopping over place but not much there to do or see. The town it is close to is Greeneville, Tn. and it has several nice restaurants and quiet a few historical sites to see

The park is historic and that makes it special to me. I am old but a new one to RVing . I think the park is beautiful. The River and creek are both beautiful and even at my age I had no trouble on the trails or down near the water. The only thing I could complain about is that the lots aren’t level. Front to back about six inches and a couple of inches side to side.

Small Park
This is a VERY small park. There isn't much space between sites. The majority of sites are full hook ups. All the sites were paved and fairly level. The interpretive area for Davy Crocket's homestead is interesting. There is a pool for additional cost.

The campground was in a fair location but the river access was not the best. It was not maintained the best that I have seen. The did mow the grass until we were leaving a week later and it needed really when we got there. No fire pits, you had to have your own.

Not a bad place. Sites are very close together. Do not get any sites 1-15 if you want anything close to level. The web site said site 12 was level. My front wheels on the motorhome was at least 7 inches off the ground and I still was not good and level. Hopefully the pool is open now. We picked a very hot time to go there and the pool was closed. Not sure I'll go back. I like just a little more breathing room.

Best For Families With Kids
Spaces are very close together. Restrooms clean, showers iffy. A few nice short trails, river trail not well maintained. Didn't get discount for which I qualified when I prepaid for the site using the online reservation system. Large playground with great equipment.
