Peaceful And Quiet
After dry camping for a few days we headed for this state park. This was such a good stop for us that we stayed an extra day of rest, relaxation, hot showers, hiking and boy was it quiet in February! We stayed in the Wrangler campground due to nobody else being there. The RV campground did seem somewhat busy so we were glad not to b there. We have a travel van so we are easy to accommodate. All sites have water and electric. RV campground has some with septic but we don't need. Get wood at the country stores nearby as there wasn't any in the park this time of year. Sites where we were are level. We didn't have any problems. Rangers kept a pretty good watch out (almost obnoxious) but ok. We would stop again if going thru W TN. Be sure to ask for senior discount and off season rates.

What a change from 2011! The sites are better defined, level. Sewers are too far back so if you’re only staying a little while recommend you forego them and use dump when you are leaving. Anyone with complaints should see what it was like 12 years ago. Also, campsites exit from SR100 is well marked. May agree they could improve internal signs.

Beautiful
Beautiful park. RV sites were mostly flat and paved. Several pull-thru sites. Felt private and wooded. Each site had grill, fire ring, trash hang and picnic table. This is what camping should be like. Friendly staff. We will be going back.

Much Improved
The turn to the campgrounds has no sign. Once in the campgrounds there are no signs to tell you what direction to go to the sites especial where the road splits. They claim site 38 is level. I exceeded the limits of the Anderson levelers and the camper still wasn't level! Clean site. Access to electric and water was excellent. Sites are still a bit small even though redone. They need to work on their signage! Nice place otherwise.

Love Love Love
This place is awesome. If you want sewer hookups camp on the south loop. If not there is a dump station. The camp hosts were really friendly. There are all kinds of activities at the park. The bridge is beautiful. We went in may and the bugs were bad. Just wear bugspray and enjoy this hidden gem. As soon as we left we wanted to go back.

Great Park Refurbished
Put this park on your list! Campground has been refirbed in 2018 and new bridge over the lake is fantastic!

Terrible!!!
Narrow broken roads, no level sites. Horrible for a state park

Nice place but the lake was too far from the rv campsite. And the bridge was out.
