Great Park

Beautiful park with nice walking paths. Shelter, disk golf and playground. If you don’t have a reservation there is a phone number to call posted on the bath house which is in the center of the camping area. There is a black box for registration and payment. Nice level, gravel sites which are close together.

Nice City Park

12 very close pull thru spots. 12 much better spaced back in sites. New power pedestals being installed this morning. I believe all sites are full hookup, but off season, no water or sewer. $33 seemed a bit high for electric only, but in town for a funeral, so…. Very nice paved hike/bike trail along James River. Near rail switch yard—noisy during the day, but only a couple of through trains. No highway noise.

Update Review

24 back-in sites against the river levee in well maintained park. Each site has water, power, and a sewer dump. During day alot of activity, especially on weekends. Out of 24 sites, only two taken on an early August Sunday. A few mosquitoes at dusk, but not bad. No sign a BBC out cost, but someone will drop card on your windshield.

Great park for a one nite stay. Right next to the river. Cement running or walking path all around park. Grass in every space. 25.00
