Was here first week in October very nice campground close to the city of Custer would of gave it a 5 star but didn’t have dump station

Nice State Park

Once you pay the $20 park fee (1-7 days) and the $7.70 out of state fee then you pay $25 per night for electric only sites. The good news is you can make reservations at many different campgrounds within Custer. The campground at Game Lodge has one of the two dump stations. Stockade Lake North is wooded and near the main highway...close to Custer City. Be sure to drive Needles Highway. When headed to Mt Rushmore take Iron Mt Hwy headed north for great previews of the Memorial. AMAZING STATE PARK!!!=

Great Central Location

Stayed here 10 days with our son and his family. Great central location for the Black Hills, and Mt Rushmore, and close to Custer for supplies and dining out. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Large sites. We had a 20 ft. Travel trailer plus our son’s tent. We also had a great fire pit (but not all sites have this). Had deer walk through our site most afternoons. Clean shower house. The only down side was needing to fill our water tanks before we set up.
