Well-maintained Small Park & Campground
Nice small park and campground very close to I-95. A bit of road noise from adjacent US-15. Tall trees scattered about with very few smaller trees and no shrubbery between sites. The mostly small E/W/S sites are sand or stone, oriented to provide some privacy, and kept clean by the host. Another reviewer mentioned that site 15 is level, but we’re in that site and it isn’t. After a quick walk, looks like about half the sites are level. Sites are quite different - some wide and short, others very narrow, a couple long enough for a moderately sized rig, some pull throughs. Bathhouse is well cared for and very clean. Nothing much to do in the area except paddle on the river or head to Charleston (hour drive). The office was closed when we arrived, but the host was present to hand us our tag. Mid-March; trees have already leafed out and Azaleas are in full bloom.

The small park is quiet and really nice. The bathrooms are clean. Staff here are great. I would definitely stay here again. Stayed here during the weekdays (3 nights) and the park was not full. There was WiFi at the park and was able to use it for work. There was some road noise in the morning; but it was really quiet at night.

Nice little campground, fairly level sites not on top of each other. The state parks in NC started a program that raises the prices when they are at 50% occupancy. They said started at $24, went to 33, could even go higher. Not a fan. I was expecting $18.
They do have free WIFI.

Definitely a great place to stop if you are on I95. Small but accommodating. Great value.
