Two Campgrounds At Tionesta

While ParkAdvisor shows one campground, Recreation.gov lists 2 - a) Recreation Area and b) Outflow. This review is for Outflow on a July 4th weekend. Limited full hook-up sites full. Tents sites 50%. The tents sites 13 and above are walk-ins and a bit close, but each with grass flat pads. All tent sites are in cool shade. This year's camp host doing an excellent job cleaning the showers and sites. Good access for fishing. Bring your own water as the spigot and rest room water looks to be straight from the river.

Not Maintained

Grass overgrown on many sites and dirt, not much gravel, only on few. Looks very unused, but quiet and spacious sites, some in need of tree trimming. Bathrooms are dirty, overflow trash bins, dead flies on floor, shower walls and floor have black mold, plenty of hot water and paper towels. Horrible dirt road entry into campground, though inside campground roads are paved. Very pretty area of PA. Nice hiking trail up to dam. Full hookups and 1/2 price make it worth 2 stars.

Campsite

Well maintained, quiet, very clean . 30 and 50 amp service+ 110 at pole. Decent water pressure. Waste dumped at your own site no waiting in line on way out.

Kamperkritter

Army corp Engineer site. Open only Memorial day to Labor day. All sites have full hook ups (E 50/30amp W&S) campground below the lake dam. Overflow has fishing. All sites level and gravel. Clean restrooms/shower house. No over the air TV broadcast. Limited cell service & 4glt.
