The fee for campers is very reasonable. They do keep the area very clean. I did notice regular patrol units so that was pretty cool. A few times the Fish and Boat Commission stopped just to talk to the kids and give them maps. The area is rather quiet. Note: They offer campers an opportunity to stay free for no more than a couple of weeks if they agree to be a host. So as long as you keep the restrooms clean, trash taken to dumpster, and answer very minor camper questions, you get a free vacation. But you do need to call ahead.
