Signs say this is the French Prairie Rest Area I-5 Southbound. Signs also say “Parking Mote Than 12 Hours Prohibited” which means you can stay up to 12 hours.

Overflow areas behind were all gated closed. Went around to the northbound rest area and stayed there. Lots of cars, mostly full. Many more than when we stayed last year...

Very full but nice enough. Not as noisy as I expected. Large lot for additional parking. Trees.

Parking More Than 12 Hours Prohibited

Great rest area with lots of shade from all the trees around it. Also plenty of traffic so you are never alone, in case that's your thing. Also, good stop outside of Portland since you cannot park overnight at some travel centers and Walmarts. Also, if you take a stroll there is this nifty little trail called, "Grove of the States" which features a tree from every state and D.C.
