Bring A Bullet Proof Vest

Nice park quite most of the time except when neighbors west of the park shoot guns off at all hours of the night. First time was at 12:30 am, second time was at 3:30 am, third time was at 8:30 pm and today at 6:00 pm. Talked to the office about it all they said was that people target shoot by the river. Target shooting in the middle of the night? We won't be back as we don't like being woken up wondering if you will get hit by a stray bullet. Otherwise beautiful river and close to the harbor.

Owning a business is about customer service. The resort host is good but the owner leaves a lot to be desired. While the amenities are good there are some peculiarities like the laundry room and club house are closed at 5pm daily as well as the restroom and shower at the club house. My wife was spoken to very rudely by the owner when she had started laundry at 4:45 PM not realizing that it closed at 5. No sign on the door just on the paper towel dispenser inside, as if that would be adequate notice. Duh! Anyway, the grounds are very clean, wifi is excellent and no screaming meemee kids. Great for older folks. Families need to go to a state park. Cable TV works good too. I'd give it 5 stars if the owners were more accommodating but the hired help are really nice.

To me, this place doesn’t even earn 1 star. If you are single, or without kids, this may be a good spot for you. However, this place was awful for our family!!! We were spread all over the park (after booking several months ahead to be all together, 3 spots). They use their “insurance rules”for anything they want or don’t want. Quiet hours start at 8pm!!! They put our family on the main road into the park, ON THE RIVER, knowing we had 4 kids!!! And refused to move us or even be nice when asked about this “insurance rules” with the kids on the river or yelling at our teen to keep the littlest out of the road. It was hostile and awful and we will NEVER be back!!!

It’s a nice spot but our experience with the office lady wasn’t so great . She was rude from the moment we walked in the office. Really wanted to stay there but I refuse to spend my money with such a rude person.

What a great find! Traveling up the coast and looking for an overnight stop just happened into this beautiful park. Great host to guide you to your site, well kept grounds with good utilities. Couldn’t ask for more.

Great park! We carry our kayaks to the Chetco river only a hundred feet away, and enjoy the river all day - good fishing too. Everyone seems helpful and nice, very well kept park - stayed a month and would return.

Very nice quite park with large back-in sites. Great views of the mountains and the Chetco river. The folks here are all very friendly, and enjoy Bingo on Thursdays! Driveway is narrow and steep, but no worries, even the biggest rigs have no problems. Time only allows me a few days here but I will be back!
