Very pretty setting. It appeared most campers were long term as grounds were pretty full. We had a site with water and electric only. Site was gravel, not hard packed, but looser small rocks. Sites fairly level, may need slight adjustments. It was quiet during the night. The dump station was flooded after thunderstorms, but we could use it. Dump station and garbage on opposite side of campground entry. The part we didnt care for was that there was no one to help with questions about dump stations and garbage. We had to drive around to find our site; which are not marked well. We did get hold of someone to make a reservation and were told we had to go online at skylakerv,com. It didnt seem friendly and helpful. You make the reservation, pull in, dump and go….miss the old-fashioned, friendly service.

It was 6:13 pm when I left voicemail to this site from a rest area nearby. It was Friday of Labor Day weekend, and I was 23 hours into motor home ownership. So I was shocked when they returned the call. I asked if they had a site with a pull through left; they did not. I asked if I could reserve whatever they did have, and they said cash or check only: $42. Being 17 minutes away, I came straight over. Sewers were all taken, but I got 50 amps and water. The site is flat, on a lake, and full of families. Really much more charming than the place I stayed last night for half the cost and a power outage. I can’t comment on facilities like bathrooms or showers. If you find yourself somewhere between Cleveland and Dayton, this place is nice. I may stay another night.
