Typical nice KOA
We were evacuated from the nearby state park because of the Coronavirus shutdowns, but the KOA was happy to accommodate us (and several other campers affected by the state park closure). We paid $50 for a single night stay. Full hookups (50amp, water, sewer). Stayed in site 6. It was a bit on the shorter side but we were able to hang off the back with our 5th wheel just fine.
Roads are recently paved and easy enough to maneuver around.
The campground is located back from the main highway behind a gas station and car wash. You can hear a bit of street noise but during the night we didn't hear much.
We had an issue we needed to repair on our trailer in the morning and they were gracious in letting us have a late check-out so we could make the repair.

The camp grounds was clean, level, sites were above average size. The bathhouse was great large, clean. Stayed three night's, was very quiet at night. Had a good dog park, lots of things for kids to do.

One awesome campground. Everything is top notch. Close to everything but feels remote. Great staff. Campsite was really nice. $40 week nights & $45 weekend nights in May for back in spot. Awesome store. Definitely will stay there again.

We had an electric & water site that backed up to a little pond on a treed, flat lot...easy walk to showers which were ok. There are only 2 sets of 3 bathrooms in the whole park, so a line sometimes formed for the showers. Very family oriented with kids activities. Clean park and professional staff.

Folks were great, sites are solid and level, pull thru was wide and long enough for the 'bus and toad'. Facilities were clean and neat, hookups were solid, roads in good condition.

Best campground in the area. Clean, well maintained and exceptional staff. We spent and entire week with our 155 lb St Bernard and completely enjoyed ourselves. Very nice dog park/run.
Campground is very close (roughly 6 miles) to Wrightsville Beach.
Only recommendation is make sure you use an outside rug because most of the sites have a sandy/shell base that tracks everywhere.
A good KOA investment would be to put down gravel at the sites like they have on the entrance road.
I'd highly recommend this park and I plan to return in the near future.

Nice accommodation but at 95 bucks a day may as well leave the camper home and stay at the Hampton
