Loved This Place!
Had a blast here for a quick 2 nights this summer! Arrived with 3 kids and a dog and we all had a great time. Small campground with a cozy feel. Friendly owners and clean facilities! Lots of “wildlife” which kept us on our toes (snakes, little lizards, etc)...but didn’t disrupt a thing! Would definitely come back!

Really hard to beat this place

Such a beautiful small shady campground. Sites back to a stream. Plenty of space between campers. There is no cell service here. That makes it even better. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.
Word of caution...do not come down 80 from Blue Ridge to get to it. Roads are not for towing vehicles. Take 80 north from Marion. Directions are on their web site.

Beautiful sites on a large babbling creek. We had an elevated deck with a picnic table over the creek. Very pet and kid friendly. The owners were very friendly and held a cookout every Saturday for guests. The campground is very clean and clean bathrooms. Beautiful landscaping and abundant butterflies and birds. We will definitely come back.

This was our 1st full week of camping in our new TT. The creek behind us was very relaxing and serene. We loved hiking to nearby waterfalls and just enjoying nature. We stayed the 1st week in Nov 2018.

Challenging road if coming from the parkway. Gurgling mountain stream.

2018 Peeper Trip
Sites 28 & 30 were recommended by fellow campers. We stayed at site 26. It was very nice with elevated picnic area and fire pit over looking creek. Met Kevin the owner who puts on a bbq on Sat night in pavilion with large screen tv.

This place is so nice! The owners are very friendly and determined to keep it nice. The babbling creek (with trout in it) makes the atmosphere of this RV Park a place you don’t want to leave. Prices of course are higher than staying in a park in the National Forest on the Blue Ridge Parkway but are worth it. It took us about 20 minutes (with our small trailer) to get from the Parkway to this RV Park via Route 80. We would stay here again.

We just returned home from a relaxing and fun time at Mountain Stream RV Park. We went not knowing what to expect. Let’s just say we were pleasantly surprised. The park is conveniently located to Mt Mitchell, Linville Falls and Caverns, Little Switzerland and much more! Also, it is only fifteen minutes from Marion where you will find all the necessities you may have forgotten.
We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to our next visit.

This was our 1st stop in our new trailer. The park hosts were outstanding. We loved the surroundings as we had a deck over the creek. Tons of activities. BBQ every Saturday night. We booked for the fall.

Very quiet and clean. Current owners just sold the campground. Hopefully the new owners will keep it in just as great shape. No cell or internet service at all. Be prepared to drive to town to get service.

Just got home from first visit to Mountain Stream and am trying to figure out how soon we can go back. Absolutely loved this place. Everyone has their ideal place and this campground fit our ideal perfectly. Beautiful surroundings, lovely stream, nice owners, great fellow campers. Not a pool here but still things for kids to do. From a technical view everything is laid out great. Just can't think of any negative at all.

Lovely spot-great for our first RV adventure! The owners are very nice and very helpful. It is obvious that they take a lot of pride in maintaining this facility. The bathrooms are very clean as are the campsites and picnic tables. Location is great for exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway. We'll definitely be back!!

I say too perfect with all do respect. The landscaping and RV spots are immaculate. We do not have pets, but this campground is very pet friendly. The layout is one big loop with Buck Creek on one side and the highway on the other side. The stream drowns out most all sound (awesome), but you can hear the cars pass by if you do not have a stream site. Everything is so clean and well manicured that it could come across as non-kid friendly. There is a center lawn in the loop designated for the children to play (bring a football or soccer ball). There is also a small basketball court behind the office area at the front. There is a list of rules/guidelines and no alcohol beverages are to be seen at the sites. As a family of all boys (very loud at times), we made a point to be gone from morning until evening, sight seeing. 4 stars because you can see the hard work that goes into this campground. Deducted a star, because it's lack of kid-friendly atmosphere. Perfect place for older couples.

For our very first rv trip, we decided to stay at Mountain Stream RV Park. The staff is friendly, the sites are beautiful, the stream behind our camper is so relaxing, and the well-landscaped grounds are immaculate. Can't wait to schedule our next trip!!
