Xmas Tree Shopping

We come up as an annual trip the weekend after Thanksgiving to get our family Christmas tree. It gets very COLD so make sure you have adequate resources to keep warm. Not all sites have the same amenities so pay attention when making reservations. If you're in the need for a Christmas tree...I highly recommend Frostys Choose and Cut in West Jefferson.

Great Place

This is a nice campground. The bathrooms however have not been cleaned adequately in a week. I can’t post pictures, obviously. Most sites are electric only with water available nearby. It’s mostly quiet and peaceful here.

Manicured and well maintained. Very friendly staff and camp host. Shower house is exceptional and kept neat and clean. Family friendly. Pet friendly. Welcome Center offers educational video and interactive maps explaining the life, culture, and development of New River. Excellent accommodations with peaceful scenery. Tubing, fishing, and hiking.
