Nice state park located a short distance from 95.
Only a handful of sites are electric hookup. Water is not provided at each site so fill up your freshwater tank. Spigots are located throughout the campground.
Our site just barely fit our 30 travel trailer with little room for our truck. Gravel pad with terraced area for fire ring and picnic table. Timbers need some updating. Overall, really nice.
Superintendent/Park Ranger was super friendly and made regular rounds through the campground.
Park provides trails for hikers, bikers and horses. Trails are all easy to moderate and nicely maintained. Great exercise. Huge picnic area with pavilion.

I camped four nights in October. Except for one noisy neighbor, I enjoyed the stay. Nice and helpful staff. Found restrooms mostly clean, and nice hot water showers. The sky at night is really dark, beautiful stars!
I will visit again. Wish there were more electrical sites.

It’s a really nice park, was really sad when I got there the first time and there were no water hookups on each side but luckily my freshwater pump actually worked well enough to run my tankless water heater and we enjoyed our weekend. Even enjoyed it enough to take a 2nd trip with the kids and will do plenty more! Bath houses are nice and clean, park is quiet and lots of nice trails.
