Family Discrimination
The campground is beautiful. Nicely graveled roads and RV sites. The people are very nice, the RV sites are spacious, and all of the services work as expected. There is currently no WiFi, cell reception is non-existent (I have Verizon), and there is no cable. The rates are fair for the quality of the campground if there's just two of you. There is a disclaimer on their rates that notes "Rates based on 2 adults and children under 3." This is family discrimination in its purest form. I have five children and only one is under age 3. This made my daily rate go from $45 to $61, after being charged $4/child. The egregious part for me is that the campground has the word "family" in the name. We had originally planned to stay two nights, but because of this discrimination we have elected to move on and find an actual family friendly campground.

Large Campers Beware
We shared with them that we had a new 27.2 ft camper. With the 3 ft tongue area an 1ft back bumper. That puts me at 31+ ft total. And total 6000lb camper. The roads are steep with deep gravel. My two wheel drive diesel truck was having a hard time climbing the hills while pulling my camper. Kicking out a lot of gravel while going up the mountain. Could not get into the spot I was given. My camper was to long. They finely gave us one in the large area. Note: Verizon and Sprint has no cell coverage in the area. They do have WIFI. it's not the best wifi but does work. Great pool for the kids.

Well Worth It
We have camped with black forest twice. The camp ground is well kept and the staff is very attentive. There is a small camp store, items are pricey, but you're paying for convenience. The bathroom and showers are spread out nicely among the grounds and they are clean and well maintained. We have never used the pool, but it looks good from the road. It is close to Brevard and many waterfall attractions. Ceasars head in SC is right down the road as well. The wifi is spotty, works better on the sites closer to the main house, but it is better than nothing because there is no cell service on the mountian. We will likely camp there again!

Streaming and Dreaming
We haven’t stayed there yet but if the place is a nice as the hostess that made our reservation, I’m sure we are going to be pleased. Stay tune for my final review.

This place was a pleasant surprise. Very nice staff, the pool was perfect. You will hear No Trains or traffic. Off the beaten path for sure. Sites are clean and big. Only issue we had was a thorn bush that was in between our site and our other family member’s site..had a thorn get stuck in my shoe. Will definitely return when traveling this way again. Highly recommend!

Poor Staff
Their are 3 ladies who take reservations. Their communication is so poor that they once refunded me double what they should. I took them $63 cash & told them of their mistake. When I needed to cancel my next reservation they were only willing to give me half. I explained my husband was in an accident, but no sympathy just the policy preached to me. Trying to get a hold of them is difficult because there is no voice message option and a lot of times the line is busy.
