Be advised this park has two areas divided by a state highway. The lower portion on the east side has the office, pool (It was Polar Plunge temp and needed some screening.)the creek you can tube on. The west side is on top of a ridge. At the bottom of the ridge is a restaurant and some shops. It’s quite a walk up/down a wooden staircase. We were there on the lower portion over the 4th of July and it was packed. The Garden area had Scoops Ice Cream and a food trailer with live music two nights. If you prefer quiet over busy ask for the ridge. Our stay there could only be described as awesome! We would recommend it to all travelers.

Not Bad, Not Bad At All.
We went there and absolutely loved it. We were right along the water and were able to go up river and float back to the campsite. The water was perfect! We’re going back again this year and would recommend it.
Just an advisement though, stay away from the diamond mine...
