Nice Spot
Three stars just because of the tight sites and roads. Otherwise, nice place to stay while touring the area around Santa Fe.

Nice Amenities
I really enjoyed my stay. The roads were a bit rough, but were being maintained. Corners are tight for big rigs. The sites are small. We'd have been better off turning our rig around. Pool was beautiful! Frigid, but the kids didn't mind too much. The play ground, game room and theater were nice. Wifi was better than expected. Bathroom were cleaned and well stocked. The laundry facility was expensive, but clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful. We would stay again if we were going to be in the area.

Not Even A Diamond In The Rough
Let's start with the positive. Staff is friendly. 7th night free after paying for 6 nights. That's it. The rest is very disappointing. The roads are aweful and from previous reviews it's been that way for a long while. We were given the armpit site in the park for a week stay. There isn't enough room to set up your own chairs. The best view is sitting around a sewer lid looking at brush. There is a nasty picnic table that has metal edges that could test your last tetanus shot. We had to buy an extension to reach the sewer hookup. The fire pit is 3 feet from our truck and our neighbor's vehicle. Really? TV reception is snowy. We kept ourselves busy around Santa Fe and only used this place to sleep at night. I'm not a big KOA fan, but in this case it would have been the better choice.

Pretty Nice
Overall it was a great camp. Just stayed one night. Used the laundry, dog park area was great to have. Sites were close together, but seemed to be nicely separated with trees. Didn't get to check out the hiking trail, but would have been nice. Didn't seem to be bothered by highway noise, nice and private out skirts of town. Biggest downfall were the roads, gravel and very washed out. It had just rained, but big ruts. We had water and electric in a class c.

Very Nice Place. Friendly People.
Nice privacy. Layout is better than most state parks in the Electric & water only section. No rode noise. Nice and quiet. They need some gravel on the roads. Too much sand. Great place if you have dogs. Nice walking around.
Not sure about the full hookup area - didn’t stay in that portion. Will definitely go back.!

Nice....but!
Pro: The staff and store was great. Nice trees, hiking trail, playground for kids and pets, fire pit, and half of the parking sites had ample space. Con: Not cheap, but what is in Santa Fe? The pull thru sites were crowded with very tight fit and road noise, many were not level, the dirt roads are a muddy mess in rainy conditions.

We Liked This Place
We didn’t have any trouble getting in or out and had a nice flat pull thru site. We were grateful for the trees and shrubs, grass and the nice dog park where we could let our dog off leash and throw a ball for her. We took her on the hiking trail too. They have a nice little unheated pool and show nightly movies. Nice people. About 12 miles south of Santa Fe but we thought well worth the drive to and from. The do sell firewood to go in the little fire pits at the sites. They sell ice too.

Nice campground. Pricing was a little steep. Pull through site that they assigned us was a little tight and a little short, internet nonexistant, T V cable reception bad, but it was only for one night so we made it work! Staff was very nice and helpfull. We arrived in the middle of a thunder storm, so we didn't use any of the facilities.

This is a great campground with a dog park, a kids park, and pool. The bathrooms are well kept and clean. The sites are well divided by foliage and the sites themselves are fairly level. However, the entrance and exit into some of the pull through spots are impossible to actually pull through. There were such huge trenches/ruts on the exit of our site that we literally could not pull our pop up through. We bottomed out our Tahoe alone to exit the site, there was no way the connection to the pop up would survive exiting our campsite. The roads through the campground are also very uneven and full of ruts. It’s still a good campground and worth staying at.
Update: by Gallup,NM we could no longer ignore the noise our Tahoe was making after leaving the campground. $700 later and a day of our trip wasted, we are now proud owners of a new front wheel assembly.

A good campground near the top of a mountain on the front range. I enjoyed the walking trail a the back of the campground.

November Visit
Back in full hook up sites are available during the winter for $25 utilizing night check in as office closes for off season. Rest of park closed for off season. Glad it was available as KOA down the road totally closes for winter. Lots of trees. Met our needs perfectly. Quiet and neat. Would definitely return!

Short Stay OK - Uneven Dirt Roads/Sites
The staff was friendly, but condition of sites (calling them uneven is being nice) truly make this "rustic" as another review stated.

Rustic and that’s what this place is going for. Cable sucked. Not cable but satellite wired through the site which caused snowy picture. But what really got us was the very bad roads through out the park. Be careful. It’s not that they don t maintain their park roads it’s caused by rain run off and there is deep ruts caused by this. Narrow roads cause you to be super careful. Staff was nice. Only go here for an overnight.

Never Again
Sites were very uneven. Dirt roads are very narrow. We have a 26 ft class A and had trouble maneuvering the dirt roads.

This was a one night stay. The place is easy to find and the front desk was nice. BUT. If you are bigger than say 35 ft you will have a hard time!! The interior dirt roads are very narrow. We have a 40 ft diesel pusher with a tow dolly which they were told when we made the reservation. I asked for a pull through since we did not want to unhook. We did not fit in the space we were given and had a VERY hard time getting out since it was such a tight squeeze. Even for a 1 night stop I would not come back. If you are a small trailer or tent the place is great. Tv and wi fi worked great.

Good For Short Stay
Nice big sites. Cable didn't work but they really didn't care. Pool and playground were nice. Some sites had a little shade. Dump station was in a really poorly planned location. Beware of the smell. We made reservations a month ahead for 2 sites together but that's not what we got. What we got was opposite ends of the campground.

Nice Rv Park
Friendly staff, lots of perks (pool, movies, walking trail, etc.), quiet & peaceful. Water pressure at our site was low & not very level sites. However, I would come back my next stay.

Veey Peaceful
This place is a little off the beaten path, but it's very nice and the stag are very kind and attentive. We stayed a week and really enjoyed it. They have a walking trail, a dog park, a pool, and a movie room where they show movies every night. We had a fire one night and watched the stars. Don't forget to go look at space 20 where Clint Eastwood lived for the movie "Every which way but loose".

Called and got right in 3 hours later. Wonderful staff at check in. Trees with gravel sites. On main road to Santa Fe 10 min away.
