Cool Summer

At 8600 ft elevation this campground is 80 daytime and 50 nite time in the summer. A 40’s plus age requirement and 15 sites to choose from means plenty of space between you and your neighbor with no kids. Town is a few miles away. A few wild horses and a small herd of elk occupied the canyon with us in May 2019. The Mescalero Apache casino with shows, dining and gaming is a short drive away. And Alamagordo, NM is 17 miles down the mountain. Great location, top management and in the middle of Billy the Kid country near Lincoln County.

Excellent location. Not too many camp sites so your not crowded in with a lot of other people. Some over nighters and some long term campers. Close to Cloudcroft. Great connections, internet and cell service available on verizon is good.
